How can I make a semi transparent status bar? I tried once making the status_bar_background.png semi transparent in photoshop. but that ended up in removing the status bar at all. how to do it correctly? I want it to be like MIUI statusbar. P.S: I'm on GB not CM.

I would like that too.. I tried to make it my self but with no success. Every time I changed something, the statusbar was gone. (like the whole status bar)

Thats what I tried to do.. but in SystemUI.apk from what I read freamework-res.apk have no effect on the status bar.. in 2.3 SystemUI.apk is responsible for that

for the couple of past days I tried to make the status bar (where the clock and the signal strength). I read alot.. tried to change stuff at SystemUI.apk but whit no success... It seems to me that something is changed at this matter from 2.3.3 to 2.3.4. If someone could take a look or maybe...

thats what I heard too but thats not what happened in my case. I updated the firmware to 2.1 I9000T with bootloader (I needed the I9000T on startup for warranty). after that I updated my oprerator's 2.2 froyo without bootloader. and then the distorted picture started. GB wasnt involved.

when updating ROM that contains also a bootloader. do I have to check the "update bootloader" in ODIN? and another problem was that after an rom update, every startup starts with a distorted picture (the very first screen, even before the GTI9000 screen). What causes this? and how to fix it...

I was on froyo 2.2.1 and upgraded to MIUI RC2/ I backed it up with Titanium, but it seem not to work on MIUI. the SMS & Calls log programs crashes when I try to open them (after an attempt to restore through Titanium). Is there a way I can import sms and logs from froyo to miui? Thanks
