I'm rooted with magisk + phh superuser, used to have init.d folder with leedroid, no idea what happened with venom

Running Viper 4.5, on stock kernel. I see a bunch of files starting with "init", but they are just in system/etc, not any init.d folder. Maybe because I haven't changed any kernel settings?

Hey did the static from the phones actual speaker go away too? I tried flashing the latest Elemental on nougat, but I still hear static on notifications and phone call speech.

I'm assuming I have to delete the old pnp.xml, and rename the new file to pnp.xml (from pnpout_N_1.xml), correct? Also, I had no init.d folder, instead it only said "init". Is that fine? I didn't have su.d folders as well. Thanks!

Hey, did you still keep snapchat removed from the limiting profile list on v21? It's lagging pretty bad for me - it's most noticeable when moving the camera around back and forth, both wile recording and not.

Which Kernel and/or PnP settings?

Update: I tried it with earphones, no static. But static still persists with the actual phones bottom speaker. If I place my ear next to it after playing a notification, a static noise plays that lasts 2-3 seconds after the notification is done playing.

Is anyone still getting the static sound after a notification or similar goes off? I'm on Nougat, Viper 10 4.4.0, firmware version 2.38.617.6. I tried flashing the latest 1.02 version of Elemental and the static sound persists, even if I leave "analog audio" unchecked.

Hey, If I'm currently on Leedroid ROM and want to try this out, is it okay to just go into TWRP, wipe everything including system, and then install this? I already have magisk + superuser right now. Or, do I have to come from an RUU? Thanks.

I was going to make 2 logcats, one while calling works and one while it doesn't. Fortunately, it seems that I found a fix. Going into the sound settings and enabling 'lock screen sound' seems to do the trick! big_biso, please try it out and let me know if it works for you. Then again I don't...

None that I know of, except Facebook Messenger. But even with that, I have never used calling through it, and the problem persisted when I uninstalled it. Hopefully if I get some free time from school in the near future, I can install the ROM clean and test out the dialer for a while after...

It happened to me with Facebook messenger and Hangouts both uninstalled. Maybe there are some other stock and/or user apps requesting use of the 'Phone' app.

Unfortunately, even while being on the latest CM11 build I still had the same issue of not being able to hear my calls. I have it set on OnDemand, and all I did was raise the minimum cpu frequency to one step above. Since the issue persisted with other governors, I don't think that's the issue...
