I just received my new Note Pro 12.2 from Amazon. It was in a sealed box but after unboxing when I turned on the device it was already on that is it did not go through the boot animation. I checked the device status and it was on for straight 32 days.

Yes, I did it. Flashed the stock 4.4.2 and everything seems to work fine. However, when I tried updating using OTA after downgrading the update failed and stopped with "Error" message. After flashing 4.4.2 from scratch will hopefully allow smooth future OTA updates. Thanks everyone. :)

I did not flash anything. The phone was OTA updated. Please note that the phone received OTA update and when I applied it, it completed its process but did not update (it was still on older android version) and this happened several times (I mentioned this on a separate thread here on XDA old post).

For me BSPlayer is working for 1080p mkv videos. Both VLC and MxPlayer don't work.

The Services Framework trick finally worked and received OTA update. However, it messed up my Play Store app. I had to remove my Google accounts and re-add them to in order for Play Store to work. Rerooting was also easy.

I used Note 2 for six months and I loved it then sold it and got N4. I miss the Note 2's camera and big screen but N4 is much better looking phone with much professional built quality. I will keep N4 for a while.

I got my N10 yesterday and I found two problems. 1. The back is really loos. If I press in the middle of the back cover it wobbles and make click sound. 2. There is some light bleeding at the bottom right corner of the screen. Are these things normal? Or should I exchange it.

Back up your data and try reproducing this as often as you can. That is, find out what causes this thing to happen and then do it repeatedly. :)

Most probably this is faulty screen. Try contacting Samsung for warranty claims.

Try restarting your phone. I had the same issues with my Galaxy Note, Galaxy Tab 10.1, and Galaxy Note II. It should work. It did for me :)

Do you have any screen locker installed (e.g., Go Locker)? If yes then it might be the cause if you also have some other locking enabled as well e.g., pin or pattern lock.

After factory reset gallery speed improved. But still selecting a wallpaper from gallery by long pressing the homescreen is toooo slow.

Now it appears that after doing above steps and I cannot select a picture for setting wallpapers. (Long pressing on screen and selecting wallpapers from gallery does not show any pictures, only place holders for the pictures. :( )

Try connecting your phone to PC using KIES. If KIES says cannot update the firmware then I hope you won't be able to receive OTA updates as well. May be someone more experienced can help.

I think it is due to some faulty screen. Usually amoled screen have such problems. I don't have such things on my screen. I had similar issues (banding) in my original Note 1, though.

I tried using nfc beam on my Note II and Nexus S. It did not work. I made sure that NFC and S Beam are enabled. Previously nfc beam worked with One X and Nexus S.
