Yep the multitasking lag seems to have been reduced significantly which was my biggest gripe with the previous version. Only time will tell if the lag comes back.

I flashed the stock unbranded Australian 5.1.1 ROM over the top of my stock Indian 5.0.1 ROM and seems to be working fine without a wipe. Just used Odin 3.10 without doing anything special.

It probably won't fit with the tempered glass as it is a snug fit. The case can be used all the time but makes the phone very large and heavy. You won't double the capacity due to losses in charging efficiency but should get another 70% charge.

What would be cool is if this app could somehow be modified to work with the Montblanc Pix S-Pen or any other separate Wacom stylus without requiring the Note's S-Pen to be removed from its slot. Not sure if it's possible but perhaps an offscreen gesture launch or something to that effect?

If you have troubles getting the watchface to load try uninstalling the Sony Smart Connect app and reinstalling it. It's the most common problem my users have and it generally fixes the issue.

Nope I'm using the stock rom without root. Tried 360 videos and it worked fine. Haven't tried much else yet. I did a clean factory reset after I flashed the Indian rom And reinstalled everything from scratch. Flashed onto a Vodafone Australia Note 4.

Gear VR IS supported on the Indian Lollipop firmware. I tried it out tonight and it works. Have to download all the apps again though.

I've gone down a different path and am trying out AMIDUOS which is essentially a virtual machine. Seems to be pretty good though.

I already wasted money on one gamepad so I bit the bullet and ended up buying the Moga Power Pro instead. On sale at the moment for just under $50 so it's still cheaper than the Samsung Gamepad.

I just got one and I'm not 100% sure that it's good for watching videos. I watched a TV show on it and the quality/resolution wasn't very good. I need to experiment some more. Definitely want to try one out in person before buying I think.

You can buy a tempered glass screen protector to protect the screen while sanding/polishing. I wonder if paint stripper will actually remove the anodised coating? Or how about some other solvents?
