Have you deleted the Dolby files from the phone as well? Also go to you /etc folder and paste the modded XML file there, fix permissions and reboot again. See if that does the trick. In just /etc NOT /system/etc

The max is 100, so anything above that won't change it, but it mainly depends on the number you set on the bottom with the Path name = speaker number.

The speaker on our phone is actually pretty strong, I'm just a DJ in my past life so I'm always over careful of distorting the sound and possibly popping the speaker.

You have to use the twrp and boot.IMG zip that masterchief made and posted over at android forums. Then you need to go back and restore twrp. I have no issues with it. If someone on 4.4.2 wants to send me there mixer path .XML file I'll be glad to make the changes and upload the file for you...

Fyi guys, if any of you prefer to use DSP over Viper that works too, just get the phone in r/w copy and paste the DSP apk to the system folder and set permissions to rw-r-r-, go into /vender/app and delete all of the dolby files, reboot phone(recovery since you're in r/w) and you're good to go...
