Just to follow-up if anyone else experiences the issue of compass/gps not working, lost's recommendation worked. I flashed stock rom, verified functionality of gps/compass. flashed the optimized XT1028 rom and was successful in having a fully functional phone. Thank you!

I am running the optimized version of the XT1031 and there is no tethering & mobile hotspot option in my menu. Can someone running this ROM verify if that option is present on your device or did I just screw something up? Thanks for your help.
