Post Amazon shopping app battery drain

Force stop the app, clear cache. Make sure it's up to date. I use Amazon daily, and it's always at or near the bottom of the list for battery usage. Sent from my Pixel 4a using Tapatalk

    Post Native Interface

There are still some basics that will keep me work Nova indefinitely until the pixel launcher implements them. 1) Dock app count. I will never be ok with only 5 apps in the dock. I've been using 7 and I couldn't settle for less. 2) static search bar on the homepage. I don't need it, and...

That's something you may be just noticing now. Icon resolution has always been more pixelated in moto notifications. Since kit kat. It's too reduce battery consumption. I've noticed it since day one.

So because I think AMOLED is better, I'm an AMOLED fanboy? So that makes you an LCD fanboy, correct? You didn't give me a reason. You said "uniformity". Then you said they all have pink hues. I told you they don't all have pink hues. But let's say they ALL have pink hues. lCDs ALL have...

    Post Build Quality Thread

I don't need to search. If you search "LCD problems" you'll find a thousand threads. Contrast issues, washed out screens, yellow displays. There is nothing that makes LCD a better technology than AMOLED. Everybody is moving to it. Televisions are all going OLED. it's clearly a better...

    Post Build Quality Thread

There's many posts complaining about a million things on various devices. None generalize a whole technology. That's your basis for lack of uniformity on AMOLED? I'm not trying to start a pissing match, just trying to find out a valid reason that you have for LCD being a superior technology...

    Post Build Quality Thread

The 5x thread is littered with displays ranging from yellow, to pink (which my first one was), to half whit half yellow. I'd venture to say the display issues are just as prevalent in the 5x as the 6p. But that doesn't justify generalizing the whole AMOLED technology with problems from a...

    Post Build Quality Thread

Of course everyone is entitled to their opinion. I'm just curious as to what makes LCD superior. For the select few who prefer natural, more realistic color reproduction I understand. But when AMOLED has so much more going for it I just get curious why someone believes LCD I'd superior.

So...how is it overrated? Deeper blacks, better contrast, better energy efficiency. It's the perfect tech for mobile devices. Most people prefer the look of an Amoled display over an LCD. So what makes LCD superior?

    Post Annoying Vibration Motor

Am I the only one who likes it? It's super strong, and reminds me of the Atari beep. Very nostalgic. I have no complaints. My moto X 2014 has the loudest, sloppiest vibration. This is so much tighter and distinguishable

    Post Moto X 2014 or Nexus 5x

I get better battery life on my moto x pure than my nexus 5x. I'm in the 4.5-5.25 SOT range with the pure. The 5x I get 3.75-4.5 sot. But OPs sticking points all lean towards the Moto X. Speaker is no comparison. Moto x kills it. Holding the 5x and the moto x side by side it is...

    Post Transiting from moto X

I'm not going to sugar coat it, with the 14X and the 5x side by side I'm pretty disappointed looking at the 5x. I prefer vibrant punchy colors and blacks that amoled produces. The 5x is just washed out in comparison. I have problems with my Moto X shutting down randomly at various stages of...

I can't imagine it not being worth the upgrade? Camera, there is no comparison. Battery life, display resolution, fingerprint reader, speed, UPDATES... The only thing the 13x has on it is moto actions/display, and better display technology. I prefer AMOLED heavily over LCD. That would make...

They're ALL doing this. I believe after the device has been handled, gone through a few heat cycles the adhesive on the back plate starts to loosen. I've seen 4 personally start doing this, including mine. However if you're a case user, this is a non issue.

Post A Google Engineer is reviewing USB Type C Cables for adherence to the USB Spec

My concern is when all else is equal, using one of these non spec cables my 5x says "charging rapidly" in non rapid charging hubs. It doesn't say that with the OEM cable. So the device thinks it has the capability to charge rapidly even when the means aren't there. Sent from my XT1095 using...

Post A Google Engineer is reviewing USB Type C Cables for adherence to the USB Spec

I don't see how a safety built into the device (nexus 5x) could control any problems with the charging hub. If the cables resistor fools the device into thinking that it's connected to quick charging capability, and the device is trying to draw fast charging, how would it inform itself and not...

Post A Google Engineer is reviewing USB Type C Cables for adherence to the USB Spec

The concern isn't with the device, its with the charging port. Someone in the 6P forum posted about using one of the non spec cables in an older Samsung charger, which caused the charger to overheat and fail.

Post USB Type C cables reviewed by Google engineer

Agreed. In 6 months all the junk out there will wind up in the dumpster, and properly made products will be abundant. But you're right, there needs to be a more strict standard FOR the type of connectors device A, B,C,D and E use. Apple being the biggest culprit.

Post USB Type C cables reviewed by Google engineer

I guess we all should be more specific. I figured as we were discussing the compliance of these type A-C cables that's what the references were to. I'm not referring to type A as the standard, I was referring to the type A standard. But we're all on the same page now. I guess bottom line...

Post A Google Engineer is reviewing USB Type C Cables for adherence to the USB Spec

Post USB Type C cables reviewed by Google engineer

No, its not false. You just posted the proof. 5v/3a is NOT the standard. It's for QUICK CHARGE ONLY. A standard USB charging hub does not support 5v 3a charging. When the cables resistor allows the phone to think its connected to a 5v 3a charger, it tries pulling that charge through the...

Oh I know variation happens with every device. Hence my 3rd Mpto X being the right one haha. But that's the reason to RMA now if you're not happy with the device. Maybe doing so will make the manufacturers tighten up the quality control pre launch so they don't get so many RMA right off...

That doesn't explain the huge variation from device to device. People are receiving replacements with much better colored screens. It's ranged from yellow, to white, to pink (which I'm experiencing). And how does one go about calibrating the screen if they don't want to root? There's a...
