The method used by LG phones is VOL + (or VOL - I can't rember now) plus Power, you could easilly image that on Nokia Locked bootloader this lead us to our beloved "NOKIA DLOAD", so is a no-way as the qualcomm bootloader is gone.

The way to check if Qualcomm bootloader is present is just Vol + plus plug into USB and will activate download mode either on the qualcomm that on the Nokia one, but the first is unlocked the second not Sent from my Lumia 800 using XDA Windows Phone 7 App

you can try to discover if you have a locked or a unlocked bootloader, if you've got a locked one you can downgrade it flashing the one linked on the first page with Nokia Care Suite, then you can try the rom interop-unlocked for the 710. Also you can help developing the 800 bootloader...

the rom is not tested - I've corrected the first post. If you want to try make a backup before with "dd" so you can restore your phone via linux, if so you will be a pioneer of lumia 710 testing.

I think that the cert should broke if not Nokia made a Sony-style epicfail :D

Which is you hw rev and firmware version? if your hw rev is 2.4 and your firmware 11501 or higher you have the nokia bootloader; if you have hw rev 2.3 but firmware 11501 or higher you have te nokia bootloader too. read this thread: Interop-Unlock Lumia 800 plus bootloader and NAND access [Q&A]

what's the point of booting a Lumia with DLOAD in all the possible mode if the only thing that you really care is the missing one: the Qualcomm bootloader? please stop spamming.

you can't if you don't have a qualcomm bootloader, please for non technical posts relay here, the thread has been updated with common questions and answers, keep this thread clean!

If nothing is showed and nothings happens you have a nokia locked bootloader, if not you would have be prompted by a "format USB drive".
