    Post 09.08 25 Lang HD2 pdaimatejam Rom Wp7.8 OS 7.10.8862.144 v8.9 Download

Thanks, that worked. Took some fiddling around getting the network settings to actually work (provider requires roaming enabled on home network) but eventually it worked. For reference, the steps I took: - Installed 2.12 Radio nbh - Installed ROM 2 - Applied update using CAB/sender-3G fix -...

    Post 09.08 25 Lang HD2 pdaimatejam Rom Wp7.8 OS 7.10.8862.144 v8.9 Download

I don't know why, but when using this ROM on my Euro HD2 I can't get any cellular internet connection. Tried reflashing using WM6.5 stock rom/radio, installing this ROM again and then applying the CAB/3G fix as described at http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=36062738#post36062738...

Thats because of HardSPL. Temporarily install the original SPL on it and you'll be fine.

    Post [29.10.2009] MarketPlaceRegionSwitch v1.1

One thing. I am trying to run this on a HTC Snap (codename Maple, non-touch device, Windows Mobile 6.5 standard); the app sort of works. For some reason I cannot use the buttons on the bottom (as in: the focus does not want to leave the combo box). When using a tool to take over the mobile's...

Thread Reconstruction Maple ROM from dump - how?

This might be a silly question, but nevertheless I am not very clear how it should be done. Prior to upgrading my Maple to WM6.5 (official HTC upgrade) I made a dump using pdocread -l, resulting in 4 files: - Part00.raw: 3196K - Part01.raw: 3584K - Part02.raw: 104320K - Part03.raw: 104064K...

I think it's the caps you're using. Your first few posts were in Spanish, a language that most people don't understand, and your English is not that good, making it difficult for people to understand you. Judging from your post history, it looks like you are trying to get Android working on...

    Post Lock back to network?

Flashing the original rom back to the phone restores all that, including the stock Windows mobile and radio rom. You can find it at the support section of the htc site, provided that you have a htc and not a tmobile one :) In the latter case, you'd have to check out the t-mobile site for the...

    Post Secure Phone Calls

A regular phone call still goes through your carrier, which is automatically a voice call. That is done in the radio unit, not in Windows Mobile. On the other hand, you can try and use Skype or something in that fashion using a data connection (3G, UMTS, HSDPA etc).

Post Help me to connect to the internet through USB cable please!

Install ActiveSync if using XP or Windows Mobile Device Center if using Vista, connect the cable, enable partnership (guest mode will do) and it pretty much works. To be sure it's not using your data connection when browsing, turn off the phone part of the phone using Comm mananger.

    Post Ex-Demo Htc Touch

Bought mine second hand, half year old for somewhere around €120, which comes down to US$165. I did not have to look for it that hard. That, and it was a while ago already, so prices should have dropped in the meantime. So US$200 is not a bargain, but not really a ripoff either. I like this...

Post Phone gets hot during 3G use

Nope, the phone is running a HTC original WM6.1. The phone isn't even hardspl-unlocked ;) The windows installation itself is pretty clean: no special tools except total commander, opera and tomtom, of which none are running. You state that it does not get hot. Does it get warm though, or...

When I use my Nike for more than 2 minutes while browsing the web using my 3G connection it gets quite hot on the lower part of the backside (isn't this the area with the cpu/chipset?). Although I have not measured the exact temperature it gets well over 40 degrees celsius on the outside...

Post New to the forum and need some help on a few issues

Nothing would happen. Either it refuses to flash on beforehand, or it'd stop at about 1% from the start not touching your existing rom. Hardspl is indeed the way to cid unlock your phone, as far as I know.

Even though this is an old topic I still want to thank audism for this straightforward suggestion. I already started editing the registry deleting MRU items since I thought they 'bumped off' the Settings item. In my case it was on a Touch Dual with WM6.1. I used the localized folder name...

Dont waste your time doing that, SoftTuning. It will not work due to the way how USB works. In order to connect a card reader you will need a host (an A) port, not a device (B-) port such as the one on the phone.

    Post HTC Wings has SDIO?

SDIO is the name of a technique, not a size. But no, the phone has no regular SD-sized SDIO slots, only a microSDIO slot. I don't know if any microSDIO cards exist though. You might want to set your wifi transmit power higher for better range, if you haven't done so already. I doubt that an...

    Post HTC Wings has SDIO?

SDIO is basically additional I/O capabilities through your regular SD slot, on the right side of the phone. I wonder, what do you need SDIO for btw? The phone has already built-in wlan, which seems to me to be the main reason for such a slot.

    Post Comments Withdrawn

It isn't all that complicated. Forget about the PPC thing. First you will need to flash a piece of software that allows the S730 to run non-htc-approved ROMs, such as Alcalines rom or my deviation of it. This piece of software is called HardSPL. Compare it to the computers bios. After that is...

I have read that too, flashing a modified TytnII rom onto the S730 but I wasn't sure if it would be sensible. For instance, it has no touchscreen. And imo a touchscreen is pretty much necessary for a touchscreen OS. Imagine controlling Windows without a mouse. It works, but it's a pain. I must...

Post HTC Wing's s730 GPS with Garmin XT

Only pre-production models had some kind of built-in GPS. Normal S730 phones only have a chip without an antenna, rendering it useless. You will need to use a bluetooth GPS in order to navigate using Garmin/Tomtom/McGuider.

If it is something set by corporate policy/microsoft exchange you'll need to contact the system administrator about that. If that is not the case in your situation (just a guess, you're not really supplying a lot of information) do a hardreset and it should be gone.
