Automatic rotation works fine. Go to launcher setting - Miscelanious - Screen orientation - you should enable the slider to work on your desktop and launcher menu.

Don`t worry i updated over Zune everything works and the phone is still unlocked. Even made hard reset and the phone is with 8862 and unlocked. My phone is Lumia 710 with Rataplan 5.0 ROM
