Depend's Cause I think z4root can Unroot it but I dont have a I9100G So I cant tell you.

I recomend trying ICs Euphoria 2.1, Cause I had it and I played with it and Call quality was Perfect and din't had the Mute/unmute bug, I tried oher ICs and They Have it, I haven't tried MIUI ICS.

Depend's on wich ICS is right now in my own Testing Euphoria is the most stable FOR ME, GB I think is more stable but If you like more ICS themes and all that then you should try ICS.About the Rom Problem, Maybe you can show him How to,Causeit's not too complicated.
