    Post [ROM] CM12-Light BETA

So far the mic is working perfectly for me. The signal bars on my phone is greyed out though whenever I'm indoors now for some reason. I wasn't getting that before. When Netflix is fixed, this is definitely going to be my daily driver. ---------- Post added at 01:23 PM ---------- Previous...

If you follow the directions, nothing will happen. It will either pass or fail, and all you will need to do is reboot your kindle. Note: I am on 13.3.1.0 and nothing happens when my unlock code failed. When I resigned it, it passed.

It's recommended that you do so though it's not required. There is no reason to have safestrap if you have TWRP installed. Safestrap is a version of TWRP.

    Post [EOL][4.2.2] HDX Nexus v2.0.5

Wouldnt a manual downgrade be possible if you had root? Also, for the users who installed Nexus rom on their stock slot, can you post a guide on how to downgrade to 3.1.0? It would allow us to use the bootloader bypass.

Post Is this of any use for a boot loader unlock?

The only other similar type of bypass is for the fire TV, which now allows for custom kernels too. Maybe someone can go ask rbox to see if his signature bypass is something that can be used?

Admittedly, I don't want to test right now on my current unit. If I do mess it up, I won't be able to get a replacement for a while. If and when I do get the chance, I will though. Hopefully someone else can do it.

    Post [RECOVERY] CWM Recovery 6.0.5.1.4a

As far as I know, the Kindle Fire HDX and the Fire TV suffer from the same bootloader limitations. They're both qualcomm devices which have extremely secure bootloaders. Right now, the Kindle Fire HDX doesn't have any reliable form of custom recovery other than Safestrap. So, as far as I know...

    Post [EOL][4.2.2] HDX Nexus v2.0.5

Cool I guess. There is another thing. I was browsing the Fire TV forums and it seems Rbox has found a way to boot a custom recovery from the recovery partition regardless of the Fire TV having a locked bootloader. Even though it can't flash kernels, it can be accessed like any other recovery...
