Post "Look" of the device (aesthetics)

Compared to virtually all other MWC devices that have been discussed in the media, this one takes the top stop when it comes to looks (together with the other Nokia devices). Due to the simple fact that it lacks an unsightly notch.

Post [KERNEL] [test] [MM 6.0 Stock ROM] Frankenlenok (AW2 test kernels on post #86)

dirtyhank: thanks a lot for your great work; I have started using my watch again after over a year, because the AW 2.0 update came out - and even though everything had been wiped, I don't find the stock performance great at all, despite a factory reset (directly prior to the upgrade). What I...

Hi, probably you already know, but just a quick heads-up: there's a 7day exploit in the kernel: https://git.kernel.org/cgit/linux/kernel/git/torvalds/linux.git/commit/?id=84ac7260236a49c79eede91617700174c2c19b0c (apparently not in the stable-queue yet) background...

Hi bedalus, in between all the talk about battery mods, here's something else: Regarding the switch from -Os to -O2... I would suggest to build the exact same kernel with each and then run geekbench (or smth similar) several times with both. My experience is that the scrores go down *slightly*...

Is there anything else we would need, besides the toolchain and the kernel sources? So we simply add the toolchain to our PATH and/or link /usr/bin/gcc , ld & co. to the versions of the toolchain and then we can compile? I've read somewhere that android kernel build system doesn't use the...

right. Please no experiments or hack-jobs. Earlier this year, some researcher(s) have performed some fuzzing on all of the big Linux filesystems - it took 10 seconds to generate a BUG in F2FS, whereas it took 2 hours(!) for ext4 (which was the best value and therefore indicates that it also is...

I hope Moxie stays clear of any un- or semi-maintained out of tree schedulers. If say, Zen gets added, then the next guy will want his favorite one. And after that one got added, the next ten people will want their own current scheduler of the day. There are quite some kernels with which one...

great to see those quick updates. Btw, I have just checked the stable and the testing branches and both still seem to be affected by the Dirty Cow. I don't know if it applies cleanly to 3.18, but anyway, for reference: https://lkml.org/lkml/diff/2016/10/19/860/1 (I strongly assume there must...

dude, please keep it that way. There's already an abundance of choice when it comes to kernels compiled with -O4, gcc-10_secret-prelease, |ultra pwr V8 toolchain| and the likes. Not to mention kernels that have *both*, zram and uksm activated at the same time... ...so yeah, it's nice if...

With kernel Adiutor 0.9.30.2, the currently latest version from the play store -> see screenshot It's not even important, it's a detail. On desktop systems you're not even supposed to set this to 2 if you don't have a fat CPU. Probably shouldn't have mentioned it. Just set it for the hell of it.

as far as I see it, no update is currently needed.
