Great tweak! I actually use tasker to manage my wifi when not in use and in tandem to that I use a version of smart unlock over my wifi so this is right up my alley. I used to have to wait before putting down my phone when I get home but this made connecting blazing fast! Thanks OP

Are you rooted/ have safestrap/ have bootloader unlocked??? You could fix the problem without too much difficulty if you do. If not, a factory reset may be your only option. If that doesn't fix the issue, I'd say talk to verizon or moto about getting a new phone.
