Thread H918 - How to get out of Download Mode?

I just dumped my firmware (10i) using the patched LGUP. The phone is in Download/Firmware Update mode. Is there any way to get out of this besides pulling the battery? Thanks

Thread Any compelling reasons to stay on ARB 0?

I have an H918 that is running 10i and is still ARB 0. I am researching the various root methods and I am wondering if there is any real benefit to staying on ARB 0. If there is, I'll go with DirtyCow, if not, I can go with Lafsploit. If I use Lafsploit and flash 10p, and increment to ARB 1...

Post How to tell if my LG V20 is genuine?

"Lifetime Calls" in settings is a great indicator of a used phone for sure, but I don't think the H918 has it. My VS995 has it, but neither of my H918's have it, unfortunately. They only have "up time" which only tells you how long the phone has been on since the last power cycle.

Post How to tell if my LG V20 is genuine?

I was recently in the same boat so I'll take a stab at this. By "genuine", are you asking if it is a real H918 or are you asking if it is "new/unused"? The listing says it's new. I would say there is about a 99.9999999999% chance it is not "new/unused". All of your suspicions are valid. I...

Thread H918 Low Speaker Volume in Any Browser

I've read just about every thread about speaker issues and haven't seen any discussion about this, so here goes... I just switched from Verizon on a VS995 (running 17a) to T-mobile (H918). At the moment, I have 2 H918's. One is on 10i and the other is on 10u. All phones are unrooted/stock. The...

Post Verizon LG V20 to Another Provider?

Just for grins I tried my T-Mobile SIM in my VS995 tonight and after setting up the APN, the best I could get was "H". It briefly flashed 4G LTE for about 10 seconds though... Your best bet is to go with an MVNO that uses Verizon's network. Total Wireless has a pretty decent deal that I have...

Post V3.90 Debloater(Lets remove all that carrier bloat !! Root not required..)

I wasn't able to get Debloater to work on my LG V20 VS995, so I followed BombeerHC's advice and used adb to list all the packages, and it actually works! Surprisingly easy. Thanks! I was able to see a list of 265 packages. Unfortunately, I couldn't see any of the packages I was hoping to...

    Post Booting into recovery.

I just did this on a new VS995 and I didn't have to do the secondary power button press. That didn't work. I just held the Volume Down button and Power button and the phone booted into System Recovery. It gave the following options: 1. Continue Power Up 2. Safe mode 3. USB debug mode 4...

    Thread V20 Refurbishment Check?

Is there a way to tell if a VS995 has been refurbished? I know there is an app for Samsung phones called Phone Info. It will tell you if the phone is refurbished and it tells how many times the headphone and power jacks have been connected etc. Is there anything like this for the V20? Are...

Post Help with screen timeout when using Tunein radio app

Yes, TuneIn is definitely overriding the system screen timeout and there are no settings to disable this. I have tried to have Tasker turn off the screen when TuneIn is running, but it isn't working which is why I asked for help here. Any suggestions?

Thread Help with screen timeout when using Tunein radio app

The TuneIn app overrides the Android system screen timeout. If I don't manually turn the screen off, it will stay on indefinitely. Not good. First, I made a task in Tasker that sets the screen timeout to 1 minute. Next, I made a profile in Tasker that runs this task when the TuneIn app is...

Post [Q] SM-910T vs SM-N910T3, What is the difference?

I'm not sure if that is correct. I used my N910T in Spain, Italy and France for 4 months recently without any issues (except GPS, but that is beside the point). I bought a SIM card for each country. As a side note, it was amazing how cheap and fast data plans were in Italy. Incredible.
