Hi, so I was able to root my Huawei and get it to 5ghz wifi but I need to unroot it to access certain apps. The only problem is that after I unroot it 5ghz wifi gets locked again. Is there any way around this?

You'll type in fastboot flash recovery2 (TWRP image file you're using). So basically the same way you flash recovery just add a 2 at the end. Apparently Huawei has two recovery systems in place. Idk for sure how it works.

Yep, I installed this version: twrp_BTV-W09_greatslon.img that he has listed in the archive in the first post, you can get to it using this link. I did not use the version with the 5 on it. Again be sure to try flashing both recovery and recovery2 I don't know which one worked but I did both...

Magisk worked like a charm thanks greatslon. I was able to root and get 5ghz wifi.

I was finally able to get into TWRP after changing the cable I was using and flash greatslon's TWRP to both recovery and recovery 2. I didn't have any success with flashing SuperSU but I'm going to try Magisk and see what happens. Hope this helps.

I'm hoping someone can help me out. I've unlocked the bootloader and I've flashed several different versions of TWRP none of them will boot into the TWRP menu after reboot. Instead, I just get the "Your device has been unlocked screen and can't be trusted screen." It won't boot into stock...
