Didn't work :( Left battery out for more than 2 minutes. Did you have to press power button when battery is out? Anything else at all? No MTP, no Mass storage :( Only charging or hanging it by the micro usb cable, thats all :P :(

I too have nearly same problem, but atleast battery/charging is behaving well. Only no mtp/mass storage.. You can try - 1. Going back to stock rom and stock kernel using mobile odin 2. Mount usb storage from CWM recovery -> mounts and storage and then connect to PC 3. Clean the USB using qtip...

Unless you are on one of the safe kernels, it is not recommended to skip that step... Doing wipes on Non safe kernel would leave you with a costly iron box... How hard is flashing abyss anyway.... Just flash the damn zip and live happily ever after :) Sent from my GT-N7000 using xda...
