No, it's definitely a problem with the usb/charging socket at the bottom of the phone. :(

I've got a jig. It does recognise it and does go into download mode. Trouble is that with no working usb port how can I connect it to the comp to flash it using Odin after I've got it into download mode? The jig is the only thing the phone will recognise in the usb port.

Oh dear, looks like I'm just going to have to take my chance and send it in for repair. :( I've seen a few posts about the usb port lately. I hope this isn't going to be a common fault or there are going to be a lot of us facing warranty issues

Bump. I have exactly the same problem :-( In fact I don't even have the original rom or kernel saved and my phone won't charge

My problem is that I can't connect to usb to restock the rom. However I have managed to reset the counter using a jig. Why it recognises the jig but not usb I have no idea?? I'm going to have to return the phone for repair with the Cognition rom installed :eek: What's Samsung's (UK) policy is...

I've ordered a spare battery and a charging dock so that I can try to bring it back to life and reset it to factory. I'd really appreciate it if someone could help with how to re-stock it without usb

I've tried both the mains charger and the usb charging lead and neither work. As the usb->pc connection isn't working either I'm assuming it must be a fault with the phone.

My battery isn't charging with either the mains charger or usb so it looks like I need to send back to 3 under warranty :( Problem is that I've installed the Cognition ROM (which is awesome!) so I need to somehow get the phone back to stock before I return it. Whatever is causing the charging...

I was wondering if I could flash back to stock with CWM which I do have. But as usb isn't being recognised I can only put the zip file on the external sd. Can I still flash from that?

I've also tried the regular usb cable direct to the pc and it isn't charging via that either. I'm a worried now as I've installed a custom rom and I'll need to try to go back to stock if I need to return for repair. Trouble is that the PC isn't recognising the phone is connected by usb now :-(

This is a daft question but I flashed a rom that messed up my APN settings. I'm on contract with 3 (uk). In 'Network Operators' under the list of available networks should I choose 'select automatically' or should I manually select 3 from the list of networks.
