I am sure, there was a problem with the cache or the download ;) just check the md5 hash after you put it on your sdcard ;)

for formatting your internal SD, you can easily go to cwm and then there's a point called format /emmc. If you do this, it will automatically format your internal SD.

Download BetterBatteryStats and look for wakelocks. Also check the applications which might don't let you go to deep sleep.

Yes you can flash an OC kernel but if you don't need it urgently, don't flash it.

Try to flash another safe kernel first, then flash the rom and at least flash the hydracore kernel...

You could flash the new Rom over your old rom without wiping anything, but it isn't recommended. Just backup all your data with TitaniumBackup and do a full wipe which is the best solution for this. Then after installation you can recover your apps and other things with TitaniumBackup...

Install BetterBatteryStats and find out the wakelocks causing this problem.

What happens if you want to flash hydracorekernel?

It could be just an unhappy coincidenc... so give it a try ;) I flashed the non-oc-version at it runs fast as hell and i got no problems :) I don't need Overclocking right now, and if you don't need it neither, then just stay at normal kernel version ;)

I would just try another battery. If the problem doesn't occure due to the system, it can only be a hardwareproblem. So just ask a friend and put the battery of his/her phone into yours and check if the problem still exists.

Just installed 1.1 and i have to say it rocks!! It's really fast and smooth and i have no issues or other problems with it. Also the Battery Life is good. (I have this version just a few hours ago, but yet it is good :) )

A quick applications for this stuff is also HashCalc, it can show u several Hashes so you can compare it better. I use it all of the time and got no problems with it.

You can also check battery drain issues with CPU Spy . So you can search wakelocks to identify the problems.

Your photos and folders are only getting deleted if you format emmc or internal sd.

Do a full wipe! If you want to change a system to another one, then it is recommended that you do a fullwipe. If you want to upgrade the system from version e.g. 2.0 to 3.0 then just wiping would be enough.
