how to update without doing clean install i mean from xperia 20131218 to the latest build..

I have this problem before when use custom rom.. i just reflashing again then its ok.

I have the same problem before when I started using 4.2 Custom Rom but later after revert back to stock JB the problem disappear..

Have you tried Philz Kernel http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1901191 then update to JB using Odin. I have brick my Note before & got through it like this.

I just update from 4.2 to 4.4.. My opinion is better update to 4.2 first since it is more stable than 4.4..
