It's generally the default language (which you can change of course) and possibly some pre-installed apps in different country's firmwares. There can be other differences too. I don't think a 4.4.2 firmware for the UK is available for the N5120 yet. There is this German one and some Singapore...

Sure, it's /system/csc/others.xml. Find the line <CscFeature_Launcher_ReplaceHotseatAreaInEditMode> and change the value from TRUE to FALSE. Then save and reboot. After that, you can edit your dock.

I'm experiencing this on 4.1.2.

Do you find that the Note 8.0 charges much more slowly in the smart dock than direct from the charger? Both Samsung chargers are the same (2A), but it seems to take twice as long to charge my Note 8.0 in the dock. Maybe the dock isn't passing on the whole 2A to the Note 8.0?

I did exactly that. I still have the Tab 7.7 and while I love the quality of the AMOLED screen on the Tab 7.7, I just find the screen too small. Note 10.1 is great. Sent from my GT-N8000 using xda premium

Yes, multi-window manager app behaviour is a bit odd if you try to click on the actual tick selection box. Selecting the app line works fine.

You need tick on the apps you want have as multi-window. How does your resulting feature.xml in \system\csc folder look? Can you see the apps when you click on the up chevron in the middle of the status bar and click on the edit button on the right?

If already rooted, just edit this line in others.xml file in the \system\csc folder: <CscFeature_Launcher_ReplaceHotseatAreaInEditMode>FALSE</CscFeature_Launcher_ReplaceHotseatAreaInEditMode> Save, reboot and then you can edit the dock icons.

Yes, that's exactly what I'm saying. I don't think there is any down side to this and it would take care of "problem" apps like YouTube.

Hi bjbinc, Are you going to release an update that adds all unticked apps with a dash in the xml and all ticked apps without a dash in the xml? I think that would be the most flexible implementation. Perhaps on first read of xml, the ones with dashes should show up as unticked in your app...

Correct, a number of Google and Samsung (plus a few third party ones, like Total Commander) are like this. However, I believe it doesn't hurt to have the "-" in front of any app to disable its multi-window in the feature.xml file.

That's right. Your choice is the button and multi-window or no button and no multi-window. No way to have the button elsewhere unless the app is re-designed by facebook or Samsung re-designs the multi-window framework. Can't see either one happening anytime soon. Sorry. Also, the button does go...

If you added the multi-window feature by editing the feature.xml file in the CSC folder, then edit that file again and remove the facebook app from the list and reboot. The button should be gone then.
