Try reflashing the ROM again - I had this problem the first time (did full wipes and followed instructions to the letter) - suspect it is one of those things sometimes a flash just doesn't seem to go well. Been fine since I did second flash.:)

Check Gavin's Hydracore thread - there are lots of reports of lag with recent versions. That is why eybee went back to using NoteCore v14.1. Hydracore 6 out soon and may have fixes to lag issue.

Didn't have this problem flashing 4.1b on Rocket Rom (TouchWiz) Re-install SuperSU and update binaries - this has been recommended by lots of people throughout this thread Seems that sometimes CM/AOKP builds have issues losing root, but the above process fixes it. Good luck.. :good:

Not sure why you couldn't see it. DId you put ROM in root of Internal SD? Try putting it in Root of both Internal and Exernal. Don't backup again. Do 1-4 and you should see your ROM when you choose install ZIP from INternal or External. And not knowing about your ROM is it a CWM ROM- maybe...

Just flashed 5.1 ex - all seems fine, wi-fi, data and amazing antutu (7904 - highest ever) Rebooted and did not get the "Android is updating" message. THe only time I got this was cause I had a partial root - and it happened everytime I rebooted until I got root back. HTH.

The heat issue is usually normal when flashing a new kernel/ROM. Charge your phone for an hour or so with the screen off. Then use it again for a few hours, then do the same - power up with screen off. Should get to a normal rage (25 degrees no use, 30 degrees charging and 45 degrees (max)...
