Just did a full wipe and installed nightly from 14 july. Had first reboot this morning.
After weeks on the nightlies and still multiple reboots a day, I will unfortunately have to go back to stable.
I was just about to write this tablet off as well and then found this rom. Works a lot better than I expected. I'm sure nobody at Samsung even remembers this device... :) they definitely don't intend to support it for that matter.
Thanks for the rom.
Battery Drain
I'm having huge memory drains and according to Better Battery Stats it's not always the same app. Mostly it's Google+ though. The phone will then go through the whole battery in just two hours and get really hot.
I've wiped it a few days ago and the problem is still there...
Connectivity problems with LA1
I'm on:
LA1 and PA 2.51
I've had to reenter the SIM code again yesterday while using the phone. Connectivity is not great in general. Never had any problems with LA1 before though. Will try different radio and newer version of PA next.
Love this rom. Nearly everything is nice and smooth.
But I can not install most apps that worked before. The market always tells me that my phone is not supported. Is that normal or can I fix this somehow?

Had the same problem while on holidays. Once the battery goes below a certain level, you won't be able to charge it through USB any more. Instead you need to use the wall charger.
I think it's bad enough that the 7.7 doesn't have a micro USB port, but things like that are just stupid and...
Flashed Paranoid yesterday for the first time and it's great. Only missing SNote and I've put most apps into phone mode because tablet mode cuts some buttons off.
I'll stay with it though because I like to have the choice and ICS is working great with this ROM.
Flashing from GB was easy and...

Thank you both!
Thats a relieve, but we don't have the wall charger with us. So it will remain dead until we're home...
I'm trying to revive it with an external battery, but I dont expect much. Altough it seams that it's draining the battery as it normally would.

Hi everyone,
I'm on holidays in Asia with my Galaxy Note and the Tab 7.7 of my girlfriend. The Note is working fine as always, but I'm seriously getting fed up of by Samsung because of the Tab 7.7.
The tablet turned itself off yesterday and won't start up again. Pressing the power button does...
I own the Galaxy Note and my girlfriend just bought the Tab 7.7. Mainly because she was very impressed by the features and performance of the Note.
Now from what I read beforehand, the 7.7 sounded like a great device and most things about it do work very well, but the lack of ICS (on my Note...
I'd guess that Official Custom Rom means it's been modified by Samsung with TochWiz and all the other Note specific mods.
From the screenshot it seems to me that they tried to cover up everything that hints a ICS. To the point where it's not much of a visual improvement and just changes in the...
I thought they had servers up and running in Asia already? So it's probably your internet connection that's not fast enough.
I've tried it over 3G and it worked suprisingly well. The image is not as good and it's a bit more laggy but almost payable. Since my Note will not be able to use any...
Great. If only I had found this thread earlier. Now I went out and bought this thing, too.
I have't found any specific use for it. It's just always in my hand and doing things, but all kinds of things. How is anybody supposed to understand what it is for if it does so many things at the same time.
I have never owned a device with a ink screen and always intended to buy one for reading but having everything in one device turned out to be more importent for me.
I rather have a slightly less comfortable reading experience then not having the right device with me and not be able to read at...
I got Lego Batman for free and it's surprisingly fun. I think the graphics is almost on the level if what the Note could handle itself but as higher-end games get proper touch control, this could really get importent.
Looking forward to LA Noire!

I don't know what the reason is specificly, but I'm on 'Cablecom' and I've only tried it at home in Zurich so far.
I can't get it to work in the companies wifi, but that's due to the firewall configuration I'm guessing.
Are you using the same version as I mentioned above?
Latest version?
Onlive works great here in Switzerland (not a supported area) and it looks great on the Note while on wifi.
I'll try various controllers once I can link up devices through USB.
Is version 1.0 (461.98533) still the latest?
grtz
16gb vs. 32gb?
I'm about go get a GNote and I'm still stuck at the question of 16gb vs. 32gb.
I've been running out of internal memory on my HTC Desire almost daily and lost the possibility of a2sd since I've started dabbling with ICS. So internal memory has been a big issue, and the only one...
I tend to turn off the search bar right away. It's just no worth the space it takes up when the search button gets me there with one step anyway.
I've been running 0.3.6 fore a few days now and have been using my phone for work, which was a bit risky but it worked out quite well. Mostly.
Maps...
Downloading 0.3.6
I'm downloading 0.3.6 right now and will install it over the unmodified 0.3.5 and report back if the maps problem is solved.
The shutdown-screen-off animation is in 0.3.5, I noticed that too. And I like it a lot. The basic ICS animation was awkward and seems to have a delay...
I have the same problem, but unfortunately I don't have access to these files.
I guess I can wait for the next version. 0.3.5 works very well otherwise.
My battery usage is about twice as much, or more!
I did restore apps with Titanium Backup so I guess that could be the problem, as Sandvold suggested.
Otherwise, this version is incredibly smooth and now quite stable. I had a lot of reboots yesterday, for no apparent reason they're gone now...
Great work and thanks to everyone invovled with this rom.
I've been running alpha's and beta's for a few weeks now and 0.3.3 is finally very stable and almost everything is working.
I flashed over 0.3.2 and everything went fine. Even calender started working, altough I think that some events...
My sister just bought the Wildfire S, too. I've updated it to 2.3.5 but GTalk wont allow voice chat and I can't figure why, except that HTC deactivated this on purpose...
Has anyone got an idea?
I'm thinking about changing mine to silver, too. The looks is really the only think I dont like about this phone. And I'm convinced its mainly the color.
Would prefer a white one if it existed

I prefer in-ears from Sennheiser (about 50.-) and normal, heavy headphones with heavy bass from Sony at home.
I don't think the Desire is all that great in terms of audio though, so I wouldn't spend to much there.

Samsung just triggered what Apple had planed for years. They have publicly announced that they patented "the hell out of iOS/iPhone/iPad". Once they invested in that direction, they have to cash in on it, too. Or at least that's what they think.
I never thought much of the company anyway, but...
Looks interesting. I guess we'll see ICS on just about any kind of device in the coming weeks.
As with this one, finding out if the device itself is good and of quality is often difficult. I guess most people will still go for the bigger manufacturers and pay more because of it.
