Loaded GB ROM from Odin, entered stock recovery and did a factory wipe/reset, cleared cache, then entered GB, did another factory data reset from system menu, then loaded 4.0.4 from Odin, all seems well.

Updated through Kies, took about 10 minutes from start to finish. Root and CWM were both gone. I then closed Kies down completely and reflashed CF-Root-SGS3-v6.2 via PC Odin, all is well, root and CWM back in action.

It booted up with the Cingular APN working, just had to add MMS port 80 to it, no biggie. Will add the other ATT APN later and see if it boosts speed but I haven't experienced that on my Note so not sure it matters. Call quality is perfect, did several tests between i9300 and N7000 yesterday...
