Thank you so much for this! I wanted to return my phone because of it. I'm using stock rom and i deleted those lines in both mixer_paths.xml and mixer_paths_qcwcn.xml, and did not change the HPHL/R volumes. All good now!

Using line out shouldn't make any difference on audio quality. It only disables the remote (buttons and microphone). Would also really like a way to force the line-out mode. Btw, does this affect all G3s? Cause right now I'm not sure if it's worth the hassle of replacing it.

Hey forest, thanks for the effort but this kernel has panel overclocked. Spen bug is there and the panel goes wacky in offline charging just like the rest of kernels with panel overclock. Happy holidays!

I can confirm the s-pen bug. Its present in every kernel with panel overclock. Geecko cooked up one kernel upon my request with new gpu drivers but with no panel overclock, and that one doesnt have the s-pen bug. Maybe if we ask very nicely, for future kernel releases Forest, Geecko and others...

Trimmed CM11 and there were improvements. But I've tried it also on 4.1.2 just for fun, i guess, and LagFix reported that trimming is not supported. Any ideas?

Its 2 months old. But regardless of battery age, I didn't say that battery life is bad in PA, i just said that it was worse than in stock when in somewhat heavy use.

can you put SEMC camera and phone (not phonebook/contacts, but com.android.phone app) in that rom? SEMC camera has much better features, and SEMC phone app does not crash on non-default DPI. it would be amazing if you could. thanks

Kamarush, whichever roms you decide to work on, i just hope that one of them will be similar to this one. Because a combination of Sony's apps and features, and stock ICS looks is exactly what we need.

well let me add to the bug list kamarush has linked: - video playback laggy. in gallery and in youtube app. its also laggy when recording even though its much less laggy (if at all) when played in MX Player. - call log. not working at all. nothing gets logged. already stated but ill repeat them...

if you are a novice user dont try to install unofficial ics releases. if you do want a custom rom, try CM 7.2. installation procedure is well documented and the rom is bug-free, and in my opinion the only ROM worth considering beside the official gingerbread one at this point.

Call log did not work for me on baseband 64 on mini pro. could baseband have been the reason, does it work now for you guys or has it worked since the start? since i see they posted new baseband. i've gone back to cm7 so id appreciate if you could save me some time.

No camera flash, and HD video recording kinda laggy but otherwise very nice. Also, very surprisingly, com.android.phone doesnt crash on lower DPI values as other ICS roms. Liking it so far. Contact details (Infinity view) crashes, but its not critical as you can touch on the portrait for options...

i know about that, but its really not all that useful. issues get closed even when not fixed, and if you look at the changelog you'll find that some issues get "fixed" multiple times.

what are those? it's very hard to keep track of what's been fixed and what hasn't last time i tried cm9 bugs were, video recording, flash in browser, youtube app, hd video playback, gps.

good news. might sound premature since i haven't tested sony's release yet, but i'd prefer a good vanilla ics rom to sony's.

this exact error occurs when you are using non-default DPI, so make sure to set it to 160.
