Post No root and want to modify your DPI? You can!

This is terrific. I've found the 580 DPI to be best. It's not as extreme as 540, which means the dialer and camera issue isn't so bad, but it's still a huge improvement over stock. Also, the buttons in the camera app aren't quiet as offset as they are at 540. I've been thinking about rooting to...

Thread Restore to Stock, Lock Bootloader After Custom Lollipop ROM

Hey guys, I am selling my Moto G (XT1068) and I want to restore it to stock Motorola firmware and relock the bootloader first. The thing is, I'm currently running the Titan Prime ROM based on Android 5.0.2 Lollipop. Can I simply downgrade to official 4.4.4 firmware and then relock the...

Post [ROOT] Root your LG-G3 easily with PurpleDrake-Lite! [OSX/Linux/Windows!]

Not working on SW version “V20f” Hey guys, Just attempted this on an unlocked LG G3 (D855) in the U.K., running the latest Lollipop firmware (SW version V20f). Apparently, my handset is not vulnerable. I'm assuming this is because PurpleDrake doesn't work with LG's latest software yet, but I...

Post Xt1068 OTA lollipop updates thread

Well, we're still going to get it earlier than the vast majority of Android users. Only a handful of devices have it so far, and the Moto G is one of them. Our wait will be nowhere near as long as most people's.

Post [ROM] Android Revolution HD 53.1 | ART | High Quality & Performance | 6.12.401.4_R

Wondering whether it might be worth just flashing the firmware again. It is a relatively simply process, or will I lose everything? I'm already running ARHD 10.2 with TWRP.

Post [ROM] Android Revolution HD 53.1 | ART | High Quality & Performance | 6.12.401.4_R

I'm having the same problem, but I'm already running the latest firmware (2.22.401.4). My phone gets stuck at the HTC splash screen and seems frozen, but I can still change the volume and hear incoming alerts. The only way to get it off the splash screen (as far as I can tell) is to keep tapping...

Post [how to] remove your "tampered" banner

Ah, that's okay. I appreciate that you're busy. You may not have received my PM, though. I had no confirmation that it was sent, so I think it may have failed. It was pretty long. The info is above anyway if it's not in your inbox. Thanks again.

Post [how to] remove your "tampered" banner

Hi scotty1223, Thanks for the guide. I've attempted this process countless times and I just cannot get it to work. The tampered banner still appears in the bootloader. I have an M8 that was purchased from Three in the U.K. and originally had a CID of “H3G__001,” but I've since changed the CID...

Thread S Health & Other Data Wiped After Restart

Hey guys. I'm having a frustrating problem with my Galaxy S5 that I haven't been able to find answers for anywhere. I'm thinking about just wiping it and starting again, but I thought I'd ask around here first. Every time I restart or reboot my Galaxy S5 (usually after the battery has died), it...

Post [Q] Battery Drain by "Android System"!! please help!!!

I had this problem, too. Are you using Google+ to backup your photos? Turning off auto-backup made a massive difference for me. I've also switched off Google Now and location reporting, and both made a big different. By Galaxy S5 was burning through battery life before, but it's been pretty...

I'm getting the same error. I'm also getting errors for "com.google.process.gapps," and one for the keyboard. They start appearing as soon as my handset boots up. I installed the ROM from the torrent. Anyone know why this is happening?

Post Can my Galaxy Note be saved?

So I followed your steps one-by-one and I managed to install CM9 flawlessly on my Note. It's up and running without any hiccups, and the whole process couldn't have been easier thanks to your tips. Once again, thanks very much! I owe you one! ;)

Post Can my Galaxy Note be saved?

Sorry to sound like a noob, but why should I flash back to GB? The error happened under ICS, so shouldn't I try to recreate it under ICS? I do like the idea of getting that storage back, especially since this is a common issue that Samsung is aware of. The only reason I said I'd call them is...

Post Can my Galaxy Note be saved?

Yeah, it appears I only have 8GB of internal storage now. But that's not so much of an issue with a 32GB SD card. I'm very tempted to give it another shot. I've heard good things about CM9, and I'd love to get rid of Samsung's awful TouchWiz UI. I'll see if I can pluck up the courage to give...

Post Can my Galaxy Note be saved?

Okay, here's a surprise: Because I can still enter download and recovery mode, I decided I would try to reset the binary counter before my JIG gets here. So I downloaded the kernel from another thread, and it worked perfect. I then tried to flash the stock ICS ROM so that there was no evidence...

Post Can my Galaxy Note be saved?

Yeah, I'm certainly going to speak to Samsung over the next few days. I'm going to wait a little while for my JIG to arrive and try to remove the binary count, then I'll give them a call. I don't see how they can refuse to replace it really —*it is their software that caused this (I think)...

Post Can my Galaxy Note be saved?

Stock recovery? Where would I find that? The problem is, I cannot flash any ROM. It just hangs during the "factoryfs" process in Odin. When I try to install stuff via ClockworkMod recovery, it fails. Sometimes I get an error like "cannot mount (or access) /system."

Post Can my Galaxy Note be saved?

Thanks very much for your help. I really appreciate it. So do you think it's worth contacting Samsung first - before trying to reset the binary - or do you think they'll refuse to replace it once they know I tried flashing an unsupported ROM? Thanks again!
  29. K

Post Can my Galaxy Note be saved?

Yeah, I feared that was the case. The problem is, I now have the yellow warning triangle on bootup, and my "binary count" has increased to 9. Does this mean Samsung won't replace it? if that's the case, is there any way to reset the binary count and remove the triangle in its current state?

Thread Can my Galaxy Note be saved?

Hey guys, First of all, I'm new to this, so please bear with me. To cut a long story short, I attempted to install the CyanogenMod RC on my Galaxy Note N7000 today. I followed the instructions I found on the web somewhere (can't remember of it was XDA) and after attempting to wipe my device...

Hey! Yes, very pleased with it. I'm a little disappointed with the Android email apps, though. I've come from an iPhone so I was used to good email on that.
