Yeah.. allowing you to mount network shared drives to your file system. Then can use the files like they were natively on your device. Much better/faster/cleaner than the way some file managers try to let you browse/use network shares.

I have been trying to get cifs working as well. It acts like it isn't allowed to write anywhere. Maybe if mnt/cifs is set to 777 in the rom?

Contacts(People) is working fine for me too. Still trying to find any problems.. nice and smooth so far.

Trying out the new 1.8.12 v2 and most everything is going fine so far. I did find some strange things though, trying to install Google Goggles or Shopper from the Market both give an error of "Missing shared library." Also it seems the dictionary thinks every word is misspelled. O_o

Sorry... Only Verizon LTE apparently. Any one have CIFs working? Using CIFs Manager, I can get it to make the directory for the mount, but then it doesn't mount. I did notice the cifs.ko module is included in the ROM.

It was so long ago that I had stock anything on my Xoom that I never timed it. Haha It booted faster than the SGS Captivate I used at that time, I specifically remember commenting on that when I first got it.

I have tried 2 generic wired game pads and a wired sidewinder joystick, all work with my emus, but not for GTA. Just walking/steering like mentioned before.

Yeah, all my Gameloft games are doing that now after 3.1. Others are reporting the same as well.

Asphalt 6 just dropped on the Gameloft Xoom site. I haven't tried it yet, since I am on 3.1, and not going back. Hehhe

Damn.. yeah I seem to be having the same issues with all the once working Gameloft games now. Loads, plays a few moments perfectly fine, then FCs. :-(

Just to pitch in on info, those games are working for me (well I never tried the golf one, not my thing), and I am using Tiamat kernal.
