    Post Massive battery drain

diagnostics.client.wakelock I started to have this issue on February 25th. Then later I saw there was an OTA update available. I downloaded the update and installed it hoping this would solve the problem but it didn't. I'm still having this problem for the last 5 days and this drives me crazy...

Post [MOD]{DEAD} Google Wallet 2.0-R155-v14-update (no need to modify build.prop)

I tried today. The reader recognizes the phone as normal but then transaction is denied. GW app displays a message that transaction is denied because T&P is not supported on this device. Yesterday it worked as it always worked. Today ... today is April 14th. Boo.

OK, everything worked fine. I have the new version up and running. I didn't check it in a store but the app doesn't come up with any error messages as normal.

Post [MOD]{DEAD} Google Wallet 2.0-R155-v14-update (no need to modify build.prop)

I think I figured what happened. The apk I downloaded wasn't complete due to some connection problems so the apk file was actually blank - 0 bytes. I'll try again later. This time I'll make sure the downloading is complete :)

Last night's update can not be seen Tried to do last night's update. From previous version. I did everything exactly as described in "Upgrading from 2.x" section except that there we no updates to uninstall so I only had options "force stop" and "disable", I just proceeded to the next steps -...

Post Google wallet fix for SGS3 US variants AT&T, T-MOBILE, US Cellular, VERIZON, etc

CM10.2 Stable Hi, I followed the instructions in the OP and everything worked out great. And there is no problem using ES Explorer to edit the build.prop But that was when I had the latest CM10.1 ROM. Now, yesterday I made a clean install of the latest stable CM10.2 and after that followed the...

Post [HOWTO] [ROOT] No Tripping Flash Counter - [ATT / Bell / Telus / Rogers / Sasktel]

I think I saw this warning in the OP when I rooted my phone in October. I was about to use my old USB-cable from the Captivate as well but after reading that warning I did use the cable that came with the phone.

Post [HOWTO] [ROOT] No Tripping Flash Counter - [ATT / Bell / Telus / Rogers / Sasktel]

Yeah! Considering that AT&T ROM image for SGS3 is 1.6 gigabytes, it really took much longer to flash it with ODIN. I'm not surprised. The ROMs for my old retired Cappy were from 115 to some 250 megabytes in size, some earlier custom ROMs were even less than a 100 :)

Post [HOWTO] [ROOT] No Tripping Flash Counter - [ATT / Bell / Telus / Rogers / Sasktel]

All you need to do is to download this: I747UCALH9_OTA.zip from the thread I mentioned http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1896773 and follow the steps in there. Basically, all you need to do it to flash that zip in CWM. It seems like you have already done the first two steps...

Post [HOWTO] [ROOT] No Tripping Flash Counter - [ATT / Bell / Telus / Rogers / Sasktel]

You should do a factory reset in the stock samsung recovery - this shoud wipe all the updates and you phone will be back to LG1. After that just follow the OP - everything will be perfect. If you already have CWM then you can just use ODIN to put the rooted LG1 ROM to the phone and then do a...

Post [HOWTO] [ROOT] No Tripping Flash Counter - [ATT / Bell / Telus / Rogers / Sasktel]

thanks for this This is a very clear and good instruction. I've got my SGS3 last Friday and rooted the same night using the OP. Next day I updated to LH9 by following one of the instructions (with pieces to flash separately). All good now. CWM was installed via Rom Manager - this is the easiest...

Post 【Guide】How To flash ANY Captivate ROM from Stock (including ICS)

Very good guide. Unfortunately, I had to learn the download mode glitch on my own. The phone shows the connection error screen but it was actually in download mode and I was able to flash a rom. But before I figured it out, I was going crazy and didn't know what to do. This only happened to me...

Post [How to] Booting ICS ROM without any kernel splash screen

Thanks. Maybe it's better for me just to try is from 2.3 stock right away and not to bother with 2.2 Anyway, I'll try it if I ever have to go back to stock for any reason. This kernel splash screen doesn't bother me it it's nice to know how to remove it :)

no Eclair for my replacement phone Ever since I got a replacement phone (by AT&T warranty) I cannot install Eclair 2.1 using Odin into it. I can only use the Odin for going back to 2.2 and 2.3 If I install 2.1 on it I get a bootloop and sometimes it bricks - only a jig can get it back to life...

Post [Q] Sensor Usage with Maps/Spare Parts

Facebook You know? Actually the facebook app is another battery drainer, too. I have it set to "never sync" but it still consumes some battery and keeps my phone awake for 5-7 minutes per day. I don't understand why but that's the way it is.

Post [Q] Lost connection to server: Problem with Talk

AT&T Just a little update, if anyone would read this thread. In February-March AT&T had the same problem with wap.cingular again and other APN had no problem. Googel used to sing in and out all the time and quite a few websites were not loading at all giving me a message "page cannot be...

I have just noticed the same thing on my phone. Google Maps use sensors since I started it once 6 hours ago. So Spare Parts -> Sensor Usage -> Maps is now showing me more than 6 hours. I wonder if this is why my battery level goes down faster than normal ... -------------------------- CM7 with...

Post [Q] Lost connection to server: Problem with Talk

Here is what I did as a temporary workaround. I gave AT&T my brother's SGS II IMEI and told them that this is my new phone. After the new IMEI was posted to my profile the data plan code has changed from SMT2GB to HSSMT2GBH This way I have gained access to AT&T's new gateway (APN: phone). With...
