Same camera as that Nexus 6 of yours there. New or used? If it's used you might wanna get a battery replacement for it, the Nougat 7.0 update kinda overstressed the battery I'd get the G5+ or G5S, TBH (better battery life with Snapdragon 625)

I believe it uses an non standard "analog" implementation of Type-C to 3.5mm headphone, thus it won't register. (HTC and Huawei did this as well)

It's the first 7.0 Nougat update that killed it. It heats it up like crazy.

About 7 months on mine. Incipio was kind enough to ship a replacement.

September's 1+GB updated fixed most of the heating and LTE band issues. You just have to fix the damage caused by the heating by replacing the batery. :eek:

According to Accubattery I have 1042 mAh left in the battery. And it tends to auto shut off whenever it reaches 44%. Thankfully a battery replacement with a local shop is relatively cheap.

I unlocked the bootloader + used RSDLite to flash the retus 7.0. Warranties be damned if it's gonna have to be ship it across the world.

RETUS Unit here Only Band 3 works. Everything else drops out. (Been trying to downgrade to RETUS 7.0 ever since)

Copper tape might work well for this, or aluminum tape. It's way less hot after the 7.1.1 update though.

anyone else having connectivity issues? My 4G LTE tends to drop off at times and requires me to switch on and off airplane mode to for it to get connected again. Aside from that. all good. P.S. Don't even try to Flash a different modem

Fastbooted my retus unlocked XT1650-03 to lollyjay's "downgrade" firmware and then then applied that update using adb sideload. Seems like it's all good. Feels way smoother than 7.0 though.

And it just so happens I got the unlocked US variant. :sweat:

Especially when I'm using it for GPS. 50C on the battery. Had to take the Style shell off. Else I get thermal throttled like crazy.

All good now. Fastbooted the MEX Nougat bootloader over. Bootloader works back.

Anyone can extract the bootloader.img from the OTA /device? Having minor issues with mine after a failed downgrade.

Note that the OTA upgrades the Bootloader. So you can't downgrade back to MM

I've sideloaded Nougat on my unlocked XT1650-03 RETUS. I'm getting a overheating, pretty terrible battery drain compared to MM. Radios works a bit better, less sticky to LTE) and no issues with BT.

I see. From the Googles looks like it's a hardware issue. Any chance of sending it back where you got it for replacement? Usually shipping for RMAs the only PITA when dealing when I purchase stuff from the States

That's what I assume most people would be doing. (Aside from trying to port over the Droid version of Nougat) From the what I can recall, the mods stuff are released along with the source code. I saw a dev saying that Moto borrowed a number of stuff from Project Ara (RIP).

I have the unlocked US version as well. (retus software channel) I think everyone's just waiting for Nougat to drop at this point.

I'm just using the included plastic bumper in the unlocked US version of the Z. Glad to hear that there's a proper one from Incipio aside from the VZW bumper.

Hey there, I've installed the last 5.1.1 version of Omni everything works fine. Updating to the latest 6.0.1 however kills my WiFi. (Find 7 X9076 with newer LCD) Anyone have any suggestions?

I'm on a currently on slimmed down version of the latest ColorOS. (2.1.5) The WiFi advanced settings shows a MAC address of "02:00:00:00:00", which I don't think is supposed to happen. 3G/LTE works fine.

Hey there Maxwen, Just jumped from Color OS to your rom. Flashed that FW update too. Everything kinda works fine except for WiFi. I'm on the X9076 model if that's helps.

I've got myself the Brainwavz M4 (the one with the mic) Pause, play and skip works well. Also a pair Sennhieser Adidias CX680i, pause, play, skip works. Volume don't however. Sent from my Galaxy Nexus using Tapatalk 2
