I love CM7, love it. But I HATE the camera app that comes with it. Its God awful, makes the video have a slight lag or skip every few seconds. Can't manually focus the stills camera. Just bad. How can I install a new one? I've tried going into root and renaming the camera.apk to camera.apk.bak...

Ever since my Captivate I've been using my phone to shoot video quite a bit. When I flashed CM7 onto the Cappy when I would record video it would jump around, backwards, and just mess up entirely. I couldn't see it happen when I was recording. Only on playback. So I flashed stock 2.2 and left...

I messed around with it today. 1, It would only export in 720P. 2, when I uploaded to YouTube it had two black bars on the sides. I ended up just moving files onto computer, and using Vegas 10 Pro to edit.

I just had to warranty my original Cappy because of a power button issue. It came stock with 2.1 Eclair and I never had any issues rooting/flashing/ or otherwise messing with it. The "new" one I have has 2.2 Stock on it, is there anything different about what I need to do? Will ODIN 1-click...

I defiantly recommend trying OC/UV. How often do you use the "Task Manager" to clear RAM and such often? I find doing this every now and then helps a lot.

After reading his original thread I was expecting a little more for some reason. Good looking and fairly snappy. But flashing back to Paragon after I try Phoenix.

This is the first ROM I've flashed and I am super happy with it! Amazingly fast!

With the new update today I think it's finally as good as the iPhone version, minus chat.

Were you rooted when you updated?

Just wondering if it is rolling out in stages as it does for major updates? My girlfriend and I both have a Captivate, both bought on release date at same place. I checked for updates on both phones, and hers found one, mine did not. I'm no to worried about it honestly, just wondering.

I have not posted here much, instead I read and learn. But from what I have seen, a whole lot of people post about how upset they are about the GPS issues and other little quirks the phone has. And also people post about how they want to return it, or are so unhappy with it in general...

Battery Status Pro :) Gives you voltage and temp of battery.

I've been running 200 and it seemed to cause a lag of some sort. 180 seems to fix that lag. :)

Tried it. All it did was delete the factory battery icon and put nothing in it's place lol.. I'm not missing it though, got a new app for it tha places a better looking battery indicator in the notification bar. SRE root with OC and Ext2 Lagfix.
