Yea, I just use the stock messaging app. I also use SMS Popup to get the popup window with the quick reply, delete, etc. And if you really want emoji there are ways to get emoji in android with special font files. I dont care about them so its no big deal.

Mine was crashing every 20 seconds or so and causing it to do a hot reboot. I did the steps above and it seems to have fixed it. I went about 2-3 mins in maps without a crash. Will test later for a longer period of time. Thanks.

My opinion on the situation is...I would switch, but only because of the total lack of development going on with the Rezound and because so many people in the Rezound forum act like little kids. The Rezound is a great piece of hardware.

Uninstall HTC Sync and then go download the newest version of HTC Sync from the HTC website. It includes all the Rezound drivers.

That doesnt apply to current customers, only customers of their new share everything plans. I called verizon and told them I'm on a metered use plan. I have the 4GB data plan, which obviously is metered use and i told them I want my free mobile hotspot. They informed me "tough luck".

i think what verizon got in trouble for was for filtering out tethering apps from the marketplace. They will still charge for tethering, they just wont filter them from the marketplace any more. Also, they are trying to push everyone to the shared plans that have no tethering charges.

When I first got my Rezound in January, I got 28M down/14M up consistently all day long. When I did the OTA update it immediately dropped down to 5-10M down/5M up. That's it. I've tried every newer set of radio/firmware files and it doesnt get better at all.

Exactly. Also they wouldnt let it get ICS before the HTC Incredible 4G LTE came out. That is their new top of the line HTC phone they sell. If the Rezound had ICS it would be more desirable than it because of the HD screen.

If you want Dev-friendly I think you'll need to get a GSM International phone or the AT&T version.

I would recommend a Sense 3.6 ROM vs the Sense 4.0 ROMS. I am on CleanROM 4.4 and it works flawlessly. Wifi Tether works great as well. Just follow the directions on the CleanRom thread.

When he says it's smooth, I'm pretty sure he feels it's smooth and not jerky. And you keep railing on 60fps. I dont think you know what 60fps looks like. The human eye cannot distinguish anything over 24fps. So whether its 30fps or 1,000 fps, you wouldnt be able to tell.

that's good news at least. I know when I was on AT&T that was one of the best features. you could experiment with lots of phones very easily. Just pop the sim card in whatever phone you wanted. I know back then with CDMA you had to call into CS to get them to activate that phone.
