I've found that Google Search keeps my phone awake a lot, even with location services and location reporting disabled. I used Titanium Backup to freeze the app and a lot of the wakelocks and battery drain have gone down. Still not a perfect solution however since it'll disable google assistant...

Yes, I believe you can just flash boot.img from TWRP. Thinking about it, 2. isn't necessary because boot.img shouldn't overwrite your recovery. Good catch!

Works here too! Something to note - after following the download instructions, you need to adjust the ringer volume to "set" the variable. Then going from vibrate to ringer mode works fine. Thanks for the link :)

Actually LiquidSmooth is the only AOSP rom for the Evita that you can change the overall vibration strength. Rohan added a mod I believe to the 2.1 version. It's called the Vibration Modifier somewhere in the tweak settings if you're interested.

I was wondering if there's a way to decrease the vibration when using the captivate buttons. You can turn it completely off in settings, but is there a way to lower it?

How is the s2w working for everyone regarding battery life? I flashed this on PA and it worked, however it was running at 192mhz the entire time it was off, no deep sleep at all. Is this universal for AOSP roms or just because PA isn't on the supported ROMS list?

Assuming you're on a 4.0.3 ROM, this guide worked for me: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=29383700&postcount=180. However, I'm on the Viper ROM and I used the guide to flash the CleanROM V kernel instead of 2.1 BeastMode. Hope that helps!
