This is a known-issue which you would be aware of, if you would pay attention to the last 3 pages. You will have working front portrait mode while using gcam but broken OOS camera. Edit: Correct me if i am wrong, i am not 100% sure about the second part. Sent from my OnePlus 5 using XDA Labs

I would highly suggest you to read the last pages. Most questions seem redundant after this, because may there is a possibility that someone asked/answered already

You are on OB5 i assume? Then you need to choose the right settings, because you will see a black screen with the wrong combinations of parameters.

Update to Beta 5; Flash old Hal aka camera fix;

With OB5 you won't have greenish pictures, but dots are still present. There is no need for flashing the old Hal. Gcam is working on stock OOS

I can confirm that gcam works on 5.0.2 without flashing old Hal, i am pretty sure that you used the wrong settings. I am on ver.1.7

There is no other option. Either flash the fix or wait for a new update, which may fix this

If your costum rom includes OOS Cam and you are using version 2.5.21 - check it and report back

If you are using stock recovery than it would be better not to flash anything. Take your time to read about the android world.

Not true, because API 1 is easier to handle while remaining smaller in size. AP2 is still buggy and supports less features. For reference i would suggest to read the clarification from SultanXDA
