Post "lagging" black pixels when scrolling with dim screen

For my previous phone I went for the LCD HTC10 instead of Samsung's S7 just because of the black smear. On Samsung devices it's a lot worse since it's not just black but strong violet color seams. The Pixel 2's oled can easily be tweaked to avoid the smear: just install the "Screen Balance" app...

Post [MOD] AppRadio Unchained - Full mirroring for Pioneer AppRadio 2 and 3

+1 I was benevolently patient with Pioneer's buggy firmware. If you are the first in the market you are allowed to make mistakes. No longer supporting former high end devices but releasing a hardly changed new model to rip off more customers is the coffin nail. Extensively praised features like...

Post Checking if App Steals Data

ESET Antivirus does delete the file since it contains a variant of AdDisplay.AirpushP Displaying Ads in your own App is your own choice. Using an unsecure framework to annoy users everywhere while driving, texting, etc with push ads is evil.

Post Is There a Way to Change DPI without root

I got this as well. With V1.30 in a matter of minutes, with 1.80 after a few hours. ADB shows OOM (out of memory killer) for the lockscreen app. Therefore I guess everybody using pin or password protection will suffer from this. If you want to keep the nice low DPI and get rid of the flashing...

Thx! Careful though, as I guess the versioning is not unambiguous: My unlocked H815 got the Update last week as well, yet the version changed from B to C - resulting in the SystemUI crash. The European version which requires Theme V5 therefore is: V10c-EUR-XX (Build LMY47D).

These are corrupt jpeg images which haven't been saved completely. You might be able to see the small preview but the rest of the image isn't there. I got some of these as well on my H815 EUR. My first assumption was a dying SD card but then I saw crash dumps containing kernel oops messages...

Post [MOD] AppRadio Unchained - Full mirroring for Pioneer AppRadio 2 and 3

Same story: only when you start voice actions from your headunit there is an "audio link" between it's microphone and your smartphone. AFAIK Android only allows one app to at a time to get the audio focus. Let's say you ask google now to play some music but google music gets it wrong then you...

The 8500 needed a fingernail and I was hardly able to swipe away notifications. The 8000Nex however is just as responsive as your phone - swiping is easy and reliable. Well i'm happy with the 8500BT. My display is rather exposed to sunlight. On glaring capacitive screens (like the Parrot's Asteroid) I wouldn't see anything. As soon as your driving you'd prefer a large touch target over a small gesture area anyhow (see the Maps V6 Mod)...

For me as well. Using Franco r10 it comes down to 10% per hour. BetterBatteryStats shows roughly 35% Kernel Wakelock time for "rx_wake" and 15% for "baseband_xmm_power" therefore I guess that radio functions lack some optimisation.

4000 mAh battery / 500 mA Charger = 8 h (if charging was constant AND the nook wouldn't consume any idle juice). So at least with the current kernel bug you'll likely need more than 12-14 hours to get a full charge. Please do yourself a favour and do not burn down the house by buying those...

Yeah, I wonder if it is the trackball wake hack which breaks the input if you turn off display rotation.
