I just got mine back after it started to boot loop 54 days ago! Some of that time was me working out if i could get my data, but no such luck. LG had it for over a month, and all i get is a sorry they have a backlog. The best part, they offered some people an LG G5 for the same issue.

I bought my LG G4 September last year so its still in warranty (the silver lining). I updated to MM 1st of July and my goodness what a difference they made with memory management! Today, it just powered off and has been looping. I can boot into recovery to do a factory reset, i can boot into...

I dont get why you are having so many issues. I just downloaded mx player, nothing else and it plays my 1080 and 720 mkvs flawlessly..

Anyone actually got their handsets from t-mobile direct? They seem to have had a **** up with my order so im having to wait an extra week now...

Bought the handset upgrade. I can get a nice amount for my original SGS so all in all just extended my contract for another 18months...

Well after 11 hours after unplugging the phone died, i guess factory reset time is in order :)

hmm, I thought i might be able to get away without doing a factory restore, but i think im going to have to give it a go. After unplugging at 8am (5 hours ago) im down to 64% battery, on JPY I would have been around the 75% mark with my usage... On the plus side its bloody fast! :)

Ive heard there are FPS caps on the Galaxy line, not sure how true this is, usually benchmarks should see an increase when handsets are overclocked.

I dont know what the clock speeds of the GPU are, but CPU speed bumps will also help with 3D performance.

lol, you guys are very defensive about your phones, understandably. What you should be able to ascertain though is that the 1Ghz Mali benchmarks are decent and you can expect better performance with it clocked at 1.2Ghz. Conversely you should be able to see that the Adreno at 1.5Ghz, though...

Actually i noticed i havent been getting notifications either. On 2.2.1 JPY.

I use SMS backup and restore from the market. Its free and works really well for saving SMS and timestamps etc. It doesnt backup your MMS though.

Mine have always looked like the ones in your second picture on both my SGS and HTC Hero. How did you get them to be small?!

Not had this problem ever really, but it seems like it could be related either when its saving or the media that its being saved to? Perhaps backup your internal/external SD cards and try formatting them from the phone and see if that fixes anything?

How did you update the phone to JPY, with ODIN or KIES? Im assuming that since you mention repartition you used ODIN? Perhaps try flashing again. Early on, i had a bad flash, simply had to do it again to work.

Factory reset just deletes the apps and restores to how it was out the box, your memory cards are untouched. Hard reset will wipe the internal memory card.

Interesting. I hope there isnt much difference to the one that I flashed yesterday via the reg hack! Dont think i can really be bothered going through all of that again. :P

It would probably help more if people stated what method they were flashing (KIES or ODIN), if they were using different CSC, MODEM packages and what root methods? The last few weeks ive gone from JPU to JPX and today JPY, so far its been a pretty smooth transition. Each time i used KIES i used...

The browser was sluggish for me on JPU, but seems to have improved with JPX. Mostly minor fixes, such as when you uninstall an app, the program manager widget doesnt disappear now! Battery life seems to be good for me also.

Actually i did, my actual Product code in the nv_data.bin is O2U. Just kept the same XEU when using the reg hack, no issues at all!

Try it this way: Uninstall SGS tools Mount your sd card and delete the sgstools folder reinstall SGS tools.

It doesnt change it. I went from JM1 to JPU and now JPX and my product code has stayed the same (XEU). Did you use a different CSC before? Did you try the JPC rom, that was the biggest reason for product codes changing.

Actually i observed something similar. I was on JM1, went to the 2.2 firmwares, horrible battery life. Even when i tried different versions of the 2.2 out there. Went from JM1 to JPU and now JPX, battery life seems good and solid like on JM1.

Im quiet liking this update so far, seems to have fixed some of the bug in 2.2.1 JPU, browser isnt terribly slow, but i think there is still room for improvement (checkerboard seems not to be as apparent as before). Facebook mobile still seems to think its a Magic however. Quadrant seems to...

Only a hard reset actually wipes the internal memory card, the factory reset in the privacy menu and the options in the boot menu dont appear to affect it. *2767*3855# WARNING, that will wipe your internal memory card too, dont know if its worth a shot?
