Post [CM10.1] [JELLYBRO][KANG] FASCINATE nightly builds

Weirdest goddamn thing; woke up this morning after a dead battery caused a safe-mode reboot and did a normal reboot; everything works again. Reboots last night had no effect. Whatevs. I can't express enough how much I love this particular build of CM7.

    Post [KERNEL][CM7/MIUI][03/01/12] Glitch V13.1 - OC/UV - Voodoo - Glitchy Speed Fascinate

Running Glitch 13.1 (Fascinate) and CM7 Kang from another thread. My computer will not detect my phone when I plug the phone into USB, and vice-versa; the phone does not recognize that it's been plugged into a computer. It just displays as "charging." It's not a Windows driver issue, as it...

Post [CM10.1] [JELLYBRO][KANG] FASCINATE nightly builds

Second cable resulted in the same behavior. I'll cross-post to the Glitch Kernel thread and see if anyone else is having trouble with Glitch 13.1. I take it nobody's experienced this with my particular setup (cable faults aside)?

Also running build 1/04 and Glitch 13.1 (Fascinate); my computer will not detect when I plug the phone into USB. The phone also does not recognize USB storage mounting, and instead just displays as "charging."

    Post CM7 Waiting Room/Discussion Thread ** UPDATED 07/13 - READ THE OP!!!! **

Has JT indicated that he might have an idea what is causing the deep sleep/phantom ring issues, and just needs to get around to it? Or is it a real head-scratcher?

    Post [ROM][5.07.2011][ED01]Community Rom V1.3

Docking the phone in the Desk Cradle doesn't appear to launch the desk cradle app. Also, once it's docked, the lock screen doesn't appear to engage - pressing the power button will simply turn the screen off/on without locking the phone. Anyone else experience this issue?

    Post [ROM][3.23.2011] Superclean 2.9.2 *Retired*

Has there been any news on this new "community" ROM that caused SuperClean to die? It's been, like... a month, right? There's been a few significant changes to the ROM release process - moving to edify scripting - and no stable ROM to flash with it.

    Post [Theme][Port][EB01] Honeycomb - Update 3/9/11 [ABANDONED]

Flashed onto Superclean 2.6, and the pattern-lock screen has a bug (unsure if this bug exists with SC2.5 though). The grid of pattern-lock "nodes" consists of a dot in the center, and a bigger circle around it. The dots are in the correct position, but the outlining bigger circles are offset...

    Post Mono for Android

There is just so much that can be gleaned from this post... 1) Obviously you've never actually tried developing in C#, because it's a complete pleasure to work with. Once you've used Visual Studio, it literally pains you to use anything else, because no other IDE comes close. I've used them...

Thread [Q] Car Dock with FM Transmitter inbuilt?

I'd like to get a Car Dock for the Samsung Fascinate with a built-in FM Transmitter. Does one exist, yet? A quick Google search comes up with some unreliable links and shady advertisements (incorrect product pictures, poor spelling, etc).

    Post Rom Manager

Thread [Request] Deodexed, zipaligned Stock apks

Hi all - I've flashed the Super Clean ROM v0.4 by jt1134, but I'm finding that I much preferred the stock music player, and noticed a lack of "ThinkFree Office" in this release, which got me to thinking; Is there a place to download optimized, deodexed, zipaligned, [insert optimization buzzword...

    Post Android_Secret_Code String Revealed!

Thank you SO much for including the "disable battery full popup". That thing was annoying as HELL! Bummer that it turns on the screen, still. Also, I agree that the screen is extremely bright, even with "night mode" in the Desk Cradle app. I'd like it if I could decrease the "minimum...

    Thread [Q] FM Radio??

Hey all, I saw an article just now, where the Droid 2 was rooted and the Droid X's FM Radio app was installed, bringing glorious FM Radio to the D2. It reminded me; isn't the Galaxy S supposed to a have an FM radio built in? Has anyone been able to get an FM Radio app installed and running?

    Post Android_Secret_Code String Revealed!

Post Fascinate Bugs and Annoyances [11/15/2010]

Yes, this is a very annoying bug; incoming calls do not keep the screen from locking, but outgoing calls do. Along the same lines; if you use the Music Player at any point during normal use, and exit when you are done, the application exits like it should. But then if you place or receive a...

Post Odin Restore files to get you to stock

I fixed it! I had to use Odin to flash the ClockworkMod recovery kernel, and boot into ClcokworkMod Recovery using the update.zip method. From there, I did a hard/factory reset and cache wipe FROM INSIDE CLOCKWORKMOD RECOVERY, and it actually wiped all the original data. For some reason...

Post Odin Restore files to get you to stock

Can't add Google account? I used Odin to flash everything back to stock from this post - Kernel, Recovery, and System. Now, I boot up fine, and I can make calls fine, and I can browse the internet fine. But if I try to add my google account (for Market, etc.), I get the following message...

Post how do I use SNESoid

Game Emulators require ROMs - digital images of the original game cartridge - in order to play the game. When the emulator asks you to pick a ROM, it's the same as inserting the game cartridge into the system! If you're down with the whole "torrent" scene, just type "SNES ROMs" into your...

    Thread [Q] FM Radio?

I thought that the Galaxy S had a fully-functional FM radio, but I don't see any built-in apps to make use of it. Is there a stock app that I'm missing? Is there a killer market app for FM Radio functionality? Has anyone tried it out, yet?

Oops... launcherPro. I've since reset the factory settings again; no luck. Still all wonky when USB is plugged in. I'm considering taking it back to best buy and simply exchanging it for a different one, since I've only had it for a day. I would think that resetting everything to factory...

Thread [Q] USB Connected - Screen Accuracy Drops to Zero?

Hey guys. Any time I connect the phone to my computer via USB, the phone's touchscreen goes bonkers. It wont register my touch in the correct location, it jumps around and registers button-presses that I never pressed, or won't register a firm screen-press at all! If the USB is unplugged...

Post [lag fix] remove / do not use

Hopefully not - that happened to me, too. I turned it off, turned it back on, and voila - after a bit of a wait, it was back to normal (and oddly - still rooted!) One thing that threw me off was the absence of the boot screen... that was totally removed when we run the script. Not sure why...
