Is there a build.prop tweak which removes the write protection from the extSD, so it can be accessed directly? I know Paul Pizz ROM (6.0.1) has this functionality, but I don't know how to enable it in a different ROM. Anyone know?

Is there a way to unlock the write protection from the ext SD card, so apps can write to it directly? PaulPizz 6.0.1 has this functionality and it's extremely helpful, since Samba Fileshare won't allow extSD sharing without direct write access.

Sure enough, it was a Wanam toggle which was causing the issue. Just in case anyone else has the issue, don't enable "Collapse panel after toggle" in Wanam Exposed, as it messes up the notifications panel in PaulPizz. Man I'm loving this ROM. Works so well! Haven't bumped up to 3-27 yet...

Try uninstalling maps and clearing maps data via app manager and running the stock version. If that works you can let it update again and it will work. That's how I fixed my maps issue with GPS

That's dependent on the ROM you're running versus the provider. If you use at&t you need a ported at&t ROM. You can also try the prefixer app. I have the same problem and have heard prefixer can fix the issue.

Not any cleaner, but certainly easier and faster. I do the same thing. Make sure you don't restore email data or any system stuff as the versions will be different between roms. Only user apps and extra stuff like call logs and wireless passwords, SMS messages, etc. Some people don't restore...

You're flashing over stock, which means the only reason to reinstall safe strap is to flash more things, otherwise just run without it installed and avoid the boot delay. Running remix v4 without SS installed with no issues.

I noticed the Remix v4 ROM has long press available for every letter (for symbols like ',;:! $, etc). How is this enabled? Is there a TWRP file I can flash which enables this functionality?

I'm using an at&t sim in this phone but it won't use their lte. Is it possible to enable their band on the Verizon chipset? Is the chipset simply software limited or is it a completely different chip? I'm wondering if flashing the AT&T modem is an option.

Nobody has figured out a workaround yet. This bootloader is fairly secure it seems, and no developers have put in the time to find a workaround. I really hope a few are still around trying to unlock it, but if they are they aren't being vocal about it, as there has been absolutely zero news...

After using gummy rom for a while, I've found I've had some pretty irritating lag issues. I'm now running avatar ics rom and recommend flashing that instead of gummy. Also, avatar rom doesn't need a custom kernel as its plenty fast without the need to overclock. Otherwise the flash directions...
