Post [Q] Fascinate all messed up

Can you tell us exactly what steps you're using when you use Odin? I noticed the guide you linked to in the OP was a really old sticky. Droidstyle's Guide is the only one that is currently up to date. It doesn't mean you've done anything wrong with Odin, I just want to make sure you have the...

Post [Help] Stupid Question Thread, GNote Edition

Am I missing anything? I plan to help my friend root his AT&T Note soon. I've been rooting my Fascinate for quite a while now, but that thing is a tank, almost completely unbrickable. I've been doing a lot of reading (a big thanks to gregsarg and his super everything thread), and I'd just...

    Post [ROM]BAKED fascinatemtd blackbean-8 (03-16-2013)

I installed this yesterday, and I'm loving it. It looks beautiful. I love all the customization options. I'm 36 hours in, and I'm still at 44% battery. Everything is working perfectly, including MMS both on and off WiFi. I've been on the stock kernel, and everything is so smooth that I...

Thread [Q]MIT App Inventor on my Fascinate

Does anyone else use MIT (formerly Google's) App Inventor? I've been developing an app for my family business, working on it on and off over the past year. Ever since making the jump from GB to ICS & JB, I haven't been able to get my app to work properly on my phone. I was on AOKP m6 for a...

    Post [Q] CWM Bootloop

Well, your phone can't bootloop with the battery out, so I suggest you Odin back to stock using the instructions in Droidstyle's guide. From there, you can do any number of things. Good luck.

Post [GUIDE] Installing a Rom/CWM recovery/Root or going back to Stock

I wish I had an immediate answer for you. Just so all the bases are covered, have you exhausted all efforts to establish a connection to your pc? Other users have reported success with the following: Different cable (this is huge) Different USB port on computer Cleaning micro-USB port on...

Post [GUIDE] Installing a Rom/CWM recovery/Root or going back to Stock

Odining back to stock takes you back to the standard Verizon Android 2.3 EH03, which was the last official update Verizon released. You could go back further, depending on which files you have handy, but that's the usual choice. If you are on AOKP jelly bean, for example, and you do a data...

Post Rom Manager Flashed wrong CWM recovery

Yeah, the guide also covers the correct way to flash custom ROMs, recoveries, and kernels. You'd have to read way back in the forums, but you'd find that the ROM Manager discussion was conclusive. It simply doesn't work for the SCH-1500. The good news is that flashing via CWM and Odin, as...

Post S2 sch-i500...well, boot loop, but not THAT boot loop

Have you read over Droidstyle's Guide yet? It's the noob bible for for Fascinate users. He'll describe how to get into download mode with the battery out. If that fails, you could try a jig. From there, just follow the guide until you're where you want to be.

xlory, Thanks for all your hard work. I'm really excited about these. BboyTM got me hooked on inverted apps a few months ago, and now I can hardly stand to look at the original versions. Would it be ok with you if I posted a link to this over in the Fascinate forums? Thanks.

I've had good battery life ever since first rooting my phone, so I'll share again what I always do. On stock, my battery was good for 10 to 12 hours of light to moderate use. So true. You can read some funny threads about it if you dig a bit. Neh4pres, I think, once had a $100 reward out for anyone who could get it to work. Then, of course, there were the Enyo jokes.

Post Is it OK if I remove the Car and Desk Cradle apps?

When I first rooted, I was freezing left and right with Titanium. If I didn't recognize something, or if quick Google searches didn't insist on its importance, it got frozen. I'm pretty sure I froze those two, and I never ran into any problems. The other thing to consider is that you could...

Yes, it shouldn't be a problem to skip GB entirely. Like our fearless leader said, any of the OPs will have installation instructions. If you need more detailed instructions, droidstyle's guide is the only way to go for Fascinate users. It has working links to any file you could need.

    Post [Q] ics bootloop

If you can get into CWM, you can try doing a cache and dalvik wipe. Did you possibly install a rogue app? If so, depending how your phone is behaving you may be able to uninstall it. If not, you can always Odin back to stock as described in droidstyle's guide. That generally fixes everything.
