My Pixel XL will be arriving today from google. It's been a couple years since I had rooted my Galaxy Nexus and Nexus 7, but I remember this toolkit being very helpful and easy to use.
If I unlock the bootloader and root it, will I still be able to take the regular OTA updates from...
Verizon Will Not Carry Nexus 6
The manager at the Verizon store told me tonight that they will not be carrying the Nexus 6. He was correcting my salesman who said to expect it soon since he saw a memo from Motorola about it, so he seemed to know what was going on.
I guess I'll have to wait...
I installed this ROM yesterday and I'm loving it so far. My 4G connection seems much more stable than on the latest CM11 nightly I was on.
The one issue I'm having is that the color settings I set in Trickster Mod don't stick after a reboot. Anyone else having that problem, or is there...
I'm assuming you mean you got it this April, since it wasn't available in April 2012. In that case, you are within your 12 month warranty so your best bet is probably to contact ASUS to get it repaired.
Mine just started having the phantom touches as well. I finished all my backups last...
Under Settings => Accessiblitly, disable light flow as it says it it's own note.

I just used the built in CM updater to flash the 10.2 nightly with no major issues. SMS, phone, launcher, and root are all working fine. The focal camera is acting up a bit. I was on an unofficial version of 10.2 already, so not a major update.
I've dirty flashed to update to the latest versions of this ROM, but under 'about phone' it still says "10.2-20130729-COOKIE-toro" instead of the latest "10.2-20130806-COOKIE-toro" that I would have expected. Is this updating for everyone else? When I flashed the new zip in recovery it said...
I installed this ROM yesterday afternoon and everything is working pretty well so far. I had a very similar experience to mmidgley. I didn't realize that USB debugging was needed for root, but I must have checked that box at some point because I got root to work.
Question - Can I dirty...
I had the same question. A quick search got me this:

I think I'm going to going to try CM10 for the first time. Is the latest nightly build the best currently available?
Are there any major issues with CM10 I need to be aware of? I read a few pages of this thread, but 525 posts is a lot to read through to see if anyone is having trouble.
My favorite is whatever comes stock on my current ROM. To me, the advantages of different launchers aren't that great to have to mess with one more thing.

Verizon is a great deal for me an my wife, because both of our families and most of our friends are on it so we go through like 20 minutes per month. Otherwise, I would probably go prepaid. Just look up some coverage maps to make sure they work in the places you need it.
The first time I installed a custom ROM and it hung for a couple minutes. Thought I was going to have to spend $600 on a new phone.

Make sure the checkbox for auto brighness is unchecked and the slider is all the way to the right under settings => display => brightness. If the brighness is changing on you, then it is probably set to auto.
