I got mine. Have it so far for about an hour. No heat issues and it is snappier. I had no choice, wasn't able to root anyways. At least my phone has new life and hopefully in the future it can be rooted.

Has anyone had any luck with a kit kat rom? I liked Paranoid with the new notification drop down but the data/signal drops were to much for me. My phone would sometimes act like it was in airplane mode. Are there any kit kat roms with minimal data/signal drops?

LOL! I got tired of searching and asking. The best answer I found was that it was going to be included in the 7.2 update. Have to live with it until then. Someone did say there was a fix in the Wicked ROM thread but I couldn't find it. Hope this helps.

What I did was upgrade my recovery with Goo, I removed the SD card, I wiped the internal memory (not sure if this is necessary but what the hell), factory wiped, installed 7.1, once the phone booted up I logged in to gmail, let it sync, didn't install anything else and rebooted just to make sure...

Try using the most updated recovery. I had that same problem. I updated my TWRP to the latest one because I was running an old one, did a clean install, and it worked fine. Hope this helps. :good:

If you are talking about the wifi it works if you go with the lean kernel, avoid the stock kernel. One thing I still can't figure out is the over-scroll black box that comes up when you scroll up or down, they say there is a fix on wicked but can't find it for the life of me. If someone can...

That did the trick. I uninstalled VZW Messaging and I started getting notifications again. But wasn't VZW Messaging needed in order for group messaging to work or in order for you to receive MMS without having any problems? Or was this fixed in the latest build?

Am I missing something or aren't you supposed to flash that file in recovery. It is not letting me flash it. Using TWRP. So I tried to open up the zip with ES explorer to see what was in your zip and it will not let me open it or it will show as empty. Not sure if I have to sideload this zip or...

The problem is even when I try and download an app it will take a long time but at the same time the thunderbolt downloads it with no problem. I did gain a bar of service by flashing the LK1 modem. Who knows, not a deal breaker yet, will keep testing it.

I had the same issue. Just flashed one of the MMS apk's in the Theme and Apps forum. Worked for me. Not sure if I can link it here but it is not hard to find.

+1 For some reason I can send a pic without text but if I send a long text it will fail. Not sure if there is a fix for it.
