Yes, that is Samsung for you. It feels very annoying but the feeling is soon forgotten after the update is finally released (at least that's the way it went with the old Note). I am also eagerly waiting for Kitkat for my SM-P605..
As it is now, there really is no alternative for Note 2014...
Has anyone asked Samsung and got any answers regarding the question in the topic? They already released Kitkat update in some regions for Wifi models, but no word of LTE model update anywhere.. Samsung's way of providing updates to their products is very annoying to say the least.

As you can see, Note 10.1 2014 edition is pentile. You can also see this when looking at the screen. Transitions between some colors are a bit blurry.
Don't get me wrong, I like the screen a lot. But it is not perfect. I think the pentile design shows when certain colors are next to each other (producing less than perfect transition from one color to another).
Thank you for the tip, SmartQ reader indeed seems fast! I must have tried like ten different readers with not very good results so far. SmartQ reader seems to handle my pdf's fine. Also importing about 400 pdf files was no problem for this reader (Mantano and Aldiko readers had a lot of trouble...
I now used Mantano some more and it completely locks up my tablet when trying to import about 400 pdf files from the sdcard (hard boot required). Also when reading certain pdf files the application takes ages to load new pages (ezpdf is faster with some magazines, while Mantano is a lot faster...
I am sorry but Adobe reader is not fast. Adobe reader in my first generation iPad is faster than Adobe reader in Note 10.1 2014 edition. I have tried to look but haven't found fast enough pdf reader for Note 10.1 2014 edition yet, unfortunately. That is one of the biggest flaws in the new Note...
I have that case too and the tablet (SM-P605) fits it just fine. Just use a little force and it will snap into place? Build quality seems okay too for the price. The only problem is that the magnets are so strong that the case is unusable with them (so I had to take them out).
I just got my cover today and the magnets really are much too strong, causing wavy lines with the digitizer and also making the tablet shut down the display in wrong situations.
I fixed it by taking the magnets out with a knife. Doesn't look the prettiest, but I managed to make it look quite...
I find it strange people complain about the lag in the new Note. I have the Note 10.1 2014 edition LTE version with Snapdragon and Chrome browser flies with it. It is a lot smoother than my old Note 10.1 ever was when browsing the web. I haven't encountered much lag elsewhere either. The home...
In my unrooted Note 10.1 2014, I have the option to move application content to SD card (in application management in the settings). Is there something more a root would give me than this option?
It is true there are many things wrong with the pricing for internal storage in tablets, but luckily Samsung tablets have microSD slots and microSD's are not that expensive.
I just bought the lte version today after some consideration. So far I'm loving it!
After removing Samsung shortcuts from the desktop screens, this thing feels really quick and nice to use. It is not as smooth as my girlfriend's iPad, but it is not bad at all and I have to say I like the Note a...
Ok, thanks for the reply. Even though the performance possibly is not very far between the two processors, kind of stupid of Samsung to release two tablets with completely different hardware under the same name.
Are there any comparison reviews between LTE and Wifi versions of Note 10.1 2014 edition to be found somewhere? I'd like to see some good benchmarks and also hear about the lag difference between the two models.
If the performance really is sluggy, I can't help but wonder does Samsung test their devices at all. How can they let a flagship tablet go into production if it is laggy is beyond me.
I am certainly not buying the Exynos model, and I am going to wait for user experiences from the Snapdragon...
The price will probaly be quite high. If the price would be low, there is no reason not to release it. I fear they are probably trying to charge something like 800-900 for the 4G version. If that proves to be the case I will continue to use my old 10.1 Note for a while. Even with its annoyances...
Why hasn't Samsung disclosed Note 10.1 2014 price yet? I find it stupid that they keep vital information (the price) from potential customers.
I certainly hope they haven't gone mad and try to ask lot more for Note 2014 than what similar iPad costs.
Has there been any official explanation as to what makes it so difficult to get Android updates out in a timely manner?
It's still the same OS, and from ICS to JB it's supposed to be only a small update so I really don't understand why it takes months to get the updates out. Shouldn't the...
I don't understand why Samsung won't release the goddamn firmware for all regions now. Makes me think twice before buying a Samsung again. If Apple can provide updates for everyone at the same time, why can't the competition.
Stupid that we still have to wait for official JB when it's already...
I also have this issue with the stock browser. On many websites, when I type the screen moves (for no obvious reason) so that I can't see what I am typing. Chrome doesn't have this issue but the stock browser is a lot smoother on Note 10.1. Does anyone know how to solve this issue?
I wonder what's taking so long to release Jelly Bean for the Note 10.1. I mean, Note 2 already has it and isn't it practically the same device, just with a smaller screen?
Thanks, that is pretty good actually! Unfortunately it seems the features I'd like most ("glass" look and minimalistic icons) are not free in that one either however.

It seems Nexus 7 doesn’t like my internet connection / wlan router (Cisco epc3825).
When using 3G connection (using my Galaxy Nexus as wlan access point), Youtube works fine. But with my 40mbps cable connection, it’s a no go.
This sucks, especially since my 1st gen iPad works fine using the...
That is strange because for me, it just keeps "loading" forever when I try to watch a video (the menus and search etc. still work nice and fast in the Youtube app).
Maybe I should do a factory reset to see if that fixes this issue. My Nexus is stock, unrooted. I love the way this tablet...
I have this same issue. Youtube app is so slow in loading videos that it is unusable on my Nexus 7. Using Youtube via browser is a bit better but still way too slow. Does anyone know what might be causing this?
Btw, what do you mean by different app? I think nexus7 yt app is certainly the same...
Ok. That doesn't make me feel any better. I wonder why I have not received this e-mail?
People at Google Play obviously have no idea how to do business. The thing is, I need the tablet for a trip that starts at 27th and when I ordered, I thought I should pay the extra shipping costs to Google...
Order placed on 29th for 16GB version in the UK, no e-mail whatsoever yet. How can I cancel my order? I'm quite fed up with Google at the moment and am thinking about buying an Apple product instead. One thing is for sure, I won't be ordering anything physical from the Play store anymore.
For the most part I have been very happy with my Galaxy Nexus but it has not been all smooth sailing. I have had the issue with the battery not charging (if you search for it, the same problem has occurred to quite many people). I fixed it (for now) by bending the USB port in the device a bit...
When I try to flash this with CWM (I now have Cyanogenmod9, I got the same error with stock ROM), I get the following errors and the flash fails. Any idea why is this?
Finding update package...

For me, WP7 on HD2 is super smooth most of the time, but occasionally it gets unresponsive for a short while (few seconds). While the issue is on, pressing on hardware buttons only makes them light up, but nothing happens. This issue has occurred to me several times already.
But as I said...
Sorry if there is an obvious answer to this question, but will the kernel source code help in fixing the issues with PPP (the data drops)?
While HD camcorder would be very nice and all, the only thing that really prevents from properly using Android builds in HD2 are the data drops.
