I tested 360 wireless and it works. Using microsoft wireless dongle for PC plugged into an ethernet usb hub plugged into usb OTG. Ethernet and xbox controller both work well.

Is there a way to get the player to turn on the tv besides casting? Since the player comes with a remote it would be nice if I could just push a dang button and it would turn on the tv if it was off.... I think the home button should send tv wake command each time. Or instead if the nexus...

I've never launched google play movies and its still left-most. I've actually never seen them reorder themselves yet. Games and apps are in the order I installed them. Really hope they make a "rearrange" option.

Mine drops pretty regularly in all apps. It's about once every 30 seconds. I have a 20ft optical cable coming out of my TV and I thought maybe there was some degradation going that far in optical. My other players don't have the problem though. I will try output to just TV and see if that still...

So I'm guessing its not possible, but I didn't try, don't really want to. But looks to me like in Lollipop you have to enable OEM unlock in the dev settings similar to enabling usb debug. Nexus Player doesn't have the option to enable OEM unlock in the dev settings.

I was recently told how I can turn recommendations off per app, but after i turn them all off there is still a row on the top, it just says it can't find recommendations now. Pretty dumb. Anyone know how to get rid of the row or how to change the order of the applications? Seems like we need a...

Oh crazy, thanks. I saw that setting but I didn't think notifications = recommendations. Totally works though.

In the review on Gizmodo they said you can turn off the recommendations per app but I can't find it anywhere. Can anyone find it?

I unlocked and rooted my n9 today. But seems like staring with the initial update on first power on that its slow on wifi. RDP and speed test app are going plenty fast, I get 30mbps down and 20 up. Downloading a 50MB app takes about 15 minutes and watching YouTube above 360p is impossible...

Where the heck are the damn cases. Seemed like they had release all ready to go and then they vanished. Grrrrrrr My tablet is naked.

Same here. I pre-ordered both magic cover and folio on amazon on the 21st. Then my ordered was delayed yesterday, no date... Had it all planned out to get tablet and cases same day, not happy I have no case and no real warning.

I have lots of bleed as well, ordered from play store. Mine is bottom corners and top middle. Its also easy to tweak the tablet to make it bleed a lot more. However, lollipop is so light that its rarely noticable. We'll see next time i watch a movie. Might exchange it in a few weeks.

Well about 50 are accounted for just in this poll. I think 1 in 5 purchasers who happen to be on xda nexus 6 forums AND took time to do the poll seems reasonable. Obviously its anyone's guess and we'll never know. It was sufficiently low to sell out in minutes / seconds.

Wish we could figure out how many sold, 250? 500 maybe? Seems like a lot of the type of folks who could get a nexus in less than 2 mins after an unannounced launch would probably end up on xda.

Nexus Player and controller are back in the store, go buy those instead.

I don't think its about pushing up stock price at all, they get tons of bad press for nexus releases. Anyone notice how you could pre-order the N9 on Amazon the day before Google Play? Or how you can pre-order the N9 cases on Amazon and it has never been listed for sale at all on Google Play...

I remember that, but I think the "leaves warehouse date" was pretty accurate most of the time. However, back then your order didn't have that date right away, it showed up later on.

Since the ship date is so far out I bet tons more orders are placed in the next month, all still shipping on the 21st. N9 and NPlayer have both maintained the same ship date.

No actually this was just later the same day, 10/17. Orders on 10/20 were after it was approved on the 19th and went back in stock.

That's what worked for me with the Nexus Player release. It was sold out but later in the day I snagged one and the controller. Pretty sure that's this year's technique, trickle release...

I think its more like this is what they do to handle a small number of phones and a large demand at release. They trickle them out over the day until the first wave is actually all gone. Got mine at 11:16:47 AM MDT was lucky!

If I had to guess, there will be more waves this weekend. Bet we see another set of orders moving late tonight. They could be delivered Monday / Tuesday too for 2nd day.

I have a theory, Otterbox probably has good sales in carrier stores. Looking through the phones they support I see a lot of Verizon... I think that's the only reason they supported the G-nexus. With multiple carrier releases with this one I think n5 has a better chance than n4 did.

I think they could do better, either Google, UPS or both. There are order times, they could keep this data with the orders and be a lot closer to FIFO. I'm not one to complain though, lucked out and mine is on the way.

Yeah definitely not first-in-first-out this year. Won't know how bad it is until next week. If all the earliest orders get their phones before Friday next week then it will be better than last year...

For the 2 day looks like they are using UPS, don't know about signature or the 3-5 day shipping.

I think there's almost 0 info we can deduce about the shipping, other than we will be first wave. They could be on a truck and tracking is lagging, could be just the label is printed and they will ship tomorrow, who knows.

My Wallet order shows my tracking number all of a sudden, google play shows shipped in the details! Yay No email. Anybody have tracking active yet? Mines not, probably active tomorrow.
