Thread FYI: Open C Australian (AU) Version Updates

After flashing Firefox OS on my ZTE Pulse (T790) I decided to buy the Open C from JBHifi. The software is an Australian version (FFOS_AU_ZTE_OPENCV1.0.0B01). I wrote to ZTE Australia about compatibility and updates. This is their reply: "The Open C is not compatible with either the EU or US...

Post Firefox OS Running on a ZTE T790 (Telstra Pulse)

Phone was locked to Telstra when I started. I assume it was still locked after rooting although where I live only has Telstra so I couldn't get a different SIM to check. The Telstra SIM worked fine for calls and data.

Thread Firefox OS Running on a ZTE T790 (Telstra Pulse)

I've managed to install Firefox OS (V1.0) on my ZTE Pulse (ZTE T790, locked to Telstra). I used Cydia Impactor to root my phone, then adb and fastboot to unlock the bootloader and install a CWM recovery. I was looking for an Android Rom to flash but only found roms for the V790 (similar phone...

Thanks realjumy and all those who have put in the work to keep our xooms up to date. I installed big part and an omni Rom. Found the omni Rom a bit buggy so installed Everest big part boot image and EOS v167 (in my opinion the best one) and all is working fine. Will wait a bit before trying...

Great stuff brd. Been thinking about selling my xoom to get something with an intel chip so I can put Linux on it (getting sick of google). Think I'll hang on to the xoom for a bit longer and see what you guys come up with. Thanx to you and the team.

Post SanDisk 64GB Micro SDXC cards working on Motorola Xoom and multiple Android devices!

Hi, am looking to buy one of these cards now they are cheaper. Is any version of Android ok to format these cards? I have a Huawei phone running Android 2.3.7 and I'm wondering if this is a late enough version of Android to use to format 64gb sdcard. Thanks.

New status bar is not better for some of us if only because some apps cover the top status bar and then you can't see the clock or access the quick launch tab without closing the app! Also, to call someone lazy because they don't know how to mod is ridiculous. Some of us are happy to support...

Post My Xoom learned a new trick...

I'm on my third charger since March. Original Motorola one died, second one (off eBay) burnt out, current one (off eBay) still working but I can't use the touchscreen while unit is charging. I live remote using an off-grid power supply so this may have something to do with it.

I delete the videos in /system/media/video. You can probably delete most of the ringtones in the /system/media/audio folder. I also delete a few unused apk's in /system/app. This should give you a few more mbs.
