Thanks for the reply Okantomi. I pressed the apk until the dialogue box appears which gives me the choice of how to deal with the apk file, i pressed install. it then just hangs on the dimmed screen. I will give your advice a go, and see what happens. Thanks again.

Is there a natural progression of installing tiamat kernels, for example, I'm on 1.1.6, do I need to install 1.3.0 then onwards? I can't find 1.3.0 to download anywhere. I don't even know where to start in the github.

Some people learn the hard way, I'm a glowing example. Just make sure you read until you get really confused, grab a coffee, and read until it makes sense. If you don't understand what you are trying to do, but you want to give it a go, make sure your your prepared to have the worst happen...

Well, it took me to completely stuff my Xoom, to get how adb works. Yay! :D Is there a way to flash official Moto images if my PC won't recognise my Xoom via the usb cable? I can get into CWR, and even reboot via adb, and that's it. ?:)

I can't seem to connect to the PC now, go figure. I want to try and just restore to factory, is this possible without my PC recognising my Xoom via USB now? Is there a way to flash the official Moto images if I can't connect my usb to my PC? I can force a reboot via adb, but that's it.

If I can still boot into CWR, does that mean I may still be semi bricked? I managed to flash BRD's boot and tiamat off his thread, and it worked well, until reboot. I'm still stuck in this boot loop, and it's making me loopy! :P This whole thing happened because I stuffed with the build.prop...

It seems I can connect to my pc now. Should I try to push the file to xoom system folder? DO I push it to sdcard/system? Does it also overwrite the other prop files?

I think I completely stuffed myself up. I tried to push my backup prop file through adb to system folder of xoom, now my pc won't even recognise my xoom at all. It just tries to install driver and fails. Is there any hope?

Here's how my permissions are set; Under the read column tick all 3 boxes, under write, tick the first two top boxes, and executive all 3. That's it! Hope it works out for ya.

I tried following the OP instructions and got nowhere. Tried the easy method twice, and worked a charm. I think you also have to allow the permissions in Root Explorer by long pressing the file once moved to destination. If you need my setup, I'll post it later on today when I have my xoom in...

Thanks for this. I found the easiest way to get this working was to simply download the file to the external sdcard and then transfer it through root explorer to the specified destination. Easy as!

Human error on my behalf, BRD really couldn't of made it any more simpler for guys like me. I overlooked the boot images section, and just flashed to 1.4.2 from 1.4.1 without a hitch with HC3.1 installed on rooted wifi xoom. My External SDcard is working fine. Could I just flash the missing...

right. so, if you already updated to 3.1 with BRD's update method whilst on 1.4.1 tiamat prior to this kernel update, you dont need to flash the boot image? sorry to be repeating what you typed, just making sure I got it.

Yeah, flash the three zips through car, its the way I did it. Follow the steps to the letter, and ***make sure*** you do a back up with titanium, apps+user data, to make your life easier after you update. Good luck.

How would you pull something with adb, for example I want to pull my 'wpa_supplicant' from Xoom 'system/bin/', save it to desktop as backup, and then push the modified 'wpa_supplicant' to Xoom 'system/bin/' to achieve adhoc wifi? All help appreciated! :)

I think everything went well. My kernel version has changed though to [email protected] #1 is this correct? I've still got superuser intact, and I did a full backup of my apps+data with Titanium, but Titanium is gone. Is it just a matter of redownloading it from the store...
