Post [Guide] OnePlus 8T EASY ROOT (for all unlocked variants)

Thanks for your reply. Since I have already pulled the boot image with the payload dump process I will try that route first, and if that doesn't work I will try your method. Again thanks for the reply. All in all, I guess just booting the image is no harm , no foul.

Post [Guide] OnePlus 8T EASY ROOT (for all unlocked variants)

I'm a little confused also about rooting the 8t. Couple of threads refer to using payload dumper. Others refer to using the broken twrp method. One produces one boot image while the other produces two. I went with the payload dump method and got the boot image. Just not ready to pull the trigger...

    Post Update Thread

Did you have to patch the boot .img from the new 11.0.6.8 OS, and I noticed on the upgrade flash you did the "install to inactive slot after OTA" according to your post.

Post [Guide] How to ROOT OnePlus8T (CN/IN/EU/US) KB2000,KB2001,KB2003,KB2005

I downloaded python, payload dumper and the full latest OTA for my 8t. Followed the OP's guide and voila, got the boot image. Have never did this before and needed to learn it. My question is, if I boot the patched image, does it automatically boot into the system or do I manually reboot to the...

I have used viper4android for some time now on my oneplus 6t. Took the latest OS update and now viper will not work at all. Downloaded and installed module thru magisk. I have tried toggling legacy on and off as well as compatibility toggle. Nothing. Don't know what I'm doing wrong as before...

I take it you just flashed the magisk module? I've tried several methods, the module being the first and still a no go. I used to just flash the module and it worked.

You can flash twrp in magisk by going to modules in magisk. Then tap on the plus sign in the yellow circle and find your twrp installer then tap on it and magisk will flash it. ---------- Post added at 04:57 AM ---------- Previous post was at 04:56 AM ---------- Thanks for your reply.

First I would disable your magisk modules and then magisk will ask to reboot for changes to take effect. No need to uninstall magisk. I never have. Then... 1- reboot to twrp and flash new oos 2- flash the latest twrp installer 3- reboot twrp ( to make sure it sticks ) 4- flash newest magisk 5-...
