IDEA! 1st of what's the Difference between the app_s and the app folder in the squished version? I'm not using squished but in the regular one( app_s to ext2 ) Rosie is located in the app_s folder so would it be a good idea to leave app_s in the internal memory and use the optimize.sh to make...

Did anyone figure out how to use the apps already in the app and app-private in this build?? so we dont have to redownload them and when we download apps where do they go? app_s or some other place?

I use nandroid and mybackup pro.

lol did you unplug the A/C if not then thats why. If you have a card reader just move the update.zip and if you don't boot into recovery and do a wipe without the SD plugged in. Then put it back or format the sdcard and next time save the backup to your pc before.:)

That never happened to me and i'm not on a class 6, but i understand things are different for everyone. I have over 145 apps and my phone runs very smooth. My phone did crash when i try to move the data/data.... but for others it runs well.:D:D

You can boot the G1 while holding the camera button and press back to go into fastboot mode and restore your data or you can hold home+power and do a wipe... and properly format your sd and try again.

don't forget to backup.

Sorry for the wrong information. The command is supposed to be done using adb there's a guide to do it from terminal somewhere in the forum... and for those having the read error try this: mount -o rw,remount -t yaffs2 /dev/block/mtdblock3 /system

for those having problem with the space remaining try this: cp -a /data/dalvik-cache /system/sd/dalvik-cache rm -r /data/dalvik-cache ln -s /system/sd/dalvik-cache /data/dalvik-cache reboot That should bring you up to atleast 55+ mb... it worked for me.

When you do the command for apps to sd if you already have apps on the card you have to wait, when you reboot the apps are being installed on the phone. So it will take longer to boot. Maybe you got impatient :-)

I prefer the G build but the market issues is still unresolved. So im using the H build.

I'm not getting connection at all. I can only send/receive calls and etc... anything that uses 3G doesn't work. i thought it was something with tmobile.

For some reason that app isn't permanent for me. im on 5.0g

someone told me it doesn't work like this. it will only work from 5.0G to 5.0.1G or 5.0H to 5.0.1H.... I tried tht and it's true. Although i never tried from rc33 to 5.**

If i get a new SD card and partiotion everything properly, when i restore nandroid will everything be transfer to the ext2 folder(apps/folders)... because i dont get permission to copy and paste from my first sd to the second one. Basically will restoring nandroid on a new sd card does it...

Okay something is wrong!! i went from 5.0G to 5.0.1G and when i tried flashing the data i got stuck at the g1 screen. so i tried to fully restore by flashing the 5.0G and it still stays on G1 screen...

If you dont see the line then it's two things: You didn't partition properly or You are using a non apps2sd build of haykuro.:)

after you install busybox do this step busybox df -h if you see a line looking kinda like this: /dev/block/mmcblk0p2 (size) (used) (available) (use %) /system/sd You're good to go!

I just learned the data keeps all you settings :D. but that's a good question, when restoring i only flash data,system and boot. It always worked so i never complained.

I'm sorry I am still confused, I have busybox installed... it still says cp: not found. unless i installed it wrong. i can use busybox df -h to view size/space in my system/sd.

2 quick questions: when in terminal i cannot use the cp command i get an error "cp not found" and 2... i remeber someone posting about the sound being too low but can't find that post and the solution. Can any1 provide the links please i can't find it.

Did you try to move the Dalvik cache? after i moved that i had 64 mb free.

Check the Market, there's a Latittitude app. i never tried it but maybe it would work for you....(search for : superuser)

Did you try renaming it before copying it over to the SD, i run a linux machine and it does that to me sometimes.( could be the same problem for you) and try going from Rc33 to 5.*... hope this helps.

lol i did that... still says "not permited!" I guess it's a problem with the terminal app because when i do it through adb shell it works.

that didnt work for me im trying move the dalvik cache...i do adb remount/then adb shell and when i try the line starting with rm -rf /data/dal..... i still get the error.

Do we have root with 5.0G?? everytime i try reboot recovery i get permission denied!

ok, will it hurt if i move it? or do i need a class 6? and for your problem did u follow the steps and did the chmod for the busybox? it shouldnt give u a problem..

i never heard of this what is Dalvik cache??

did you follow the steps properly? do a backup and try again, if you followed the steps on the 1st page it should of worked.
