Then how come it's working for me perfectly well. But one thing to note is that my HU came preinstalled with Android 7.1 and I used software update from settings.

What is your MTCD version? I advise you to get a factory ROM of 5.1.1 and install the version I shared, from the settings > Software update. If any problem occurs use the recovery to restore to Android 5.1.1.

No, I tried only one OBDII ELM327. It works well with my smartphone. But head unit not even discovering.

How did you downgraded from px3-userdebug 7.1.1 to Android 5? Can you help me with the steps? Because Android 7.1.1 cannot detect my OBDII.
