Found a workaround. Installed Google's Datally App which sets up a dummy VPN on the phone. Through this VPN, the mobile data works just fine.

Yes, it should work. Even I had to flash it later on as a last resort and it worked. However, shortly after that the microUSB of my phone died and I had to return it. I realize MIUI is not for me hence I no more own a Redmi Note 3.

Same happening for CM12 on my Nexus 4 as well. Do you use any profile switcher utility? I use Profile Scheduler which has normally worked just fine.

Is the issue only with the "Accept" button and the "Deny" button works fine? If yes, check for apps that might be interfering. Lux Lite or similar brightness control app might cause this issue, try disabling them.

Had exactly same effect on my phone few weeks back I just love this phone and trying to get it back. Happened after following the same article but can't blame that. I think the swapper app picked up some wrong partition to use as swap partition and deleted it. :(
