The PureNexus Build Prop editor doesn't work for me either, so I had to download an editor from Play Store to fix the voice canceling problem.

Post How to get back to stock rom with root n able to get OTA updates from google

If you don't want to remove root/su/Xposed permanently, it makes no sense to use OTA-updates. Just follow step 10 of the guide by Heisenberg and re-flash SuperSu (systemless) and Xposed afterwards. Preparing the device for OTA is possible, but doesn't save you time. Heisenberg: Maybe you could...

Thread Quick overview of targeted SDK version for all installed apps?

Is there a good app to get a quick overview of all installed apps, their targeted SDK and if they use the new 6.x backup feature? The app should at least be able to show a list of all installed apps and sort them by "Target SDK". It would be even better, if it could check, if the developer...

Same problem here. I selected 'No thanks' (don't ask for a password on reboot), but it still asks for a password after I use my fingerprint every time I reboot the phone. Changing from password to pattern and back and turning "ask for password" on/off didn't help.

Post [GUIDE] Unlock/Root/Flash for Nexus 6P

Thank you for your tutorial. Everything worked without problems, but I have some questions to better understand the process: 1. On which partition(s) is SuperSU (systemless) installed if I install the ZIP through TWRP? Will it modify the boot image immediately or during first boot? 2. What...

    Post Why did you Root?

My main reason for root is one handed operation: - GravityBox (switch back button and recent apps button for much better one handed operation) - Niwatori One Handed Mode (essential for one handed operation - iPhone style and Samsung style possible) Other features I use, but none of them would...

It works on Nexus 6P, but there are some flaws: - If you use the color option, you get many messages, that the app (OneHandMode) was closed. So you can't use that feature. - Chrome shows some content and graphic glitches outside of the shrinked app - it works but it's not looking good. -...

9,5 hours at work, 2x Exchange Push (Mail by Google - Kitkat apk), 1 IMAP Idle (Aquamail), 1 hour Navigon Navigation, 45 minutes calltime -> 67% This is really great. With every other phone I had before (iPhone5, Lumia 920, etc.) I would be at 0-40% with that usage.

Post [Q] Reboot cycle after restart help

In my experience the real problem is if too many apps/processes start at once during boot. If you use Bootmanager (defim - in PlayStore) and stop some of your apps from starting at boot (a lot of apps want to do this for stupid reasons) the bootloop is gone, too. The solution you used is only...

Post [Q] how to update to mj6

You flash a RDLV version, but you have to add some additional files from the Samsung firmware. At least you have to add NON-HLOS and modem, but in my case this wasn't enough, so I built a new .tar.md5 file with almost everything. The only files I didn't include were the *.mbn files. System+Cache...

I don't know about the branded version, but I succeeded in flashing MJ6-BTU on my french XEF phone. Root is working - Knox is 0x0. Post New Firmware - N9005ZHUDMJ8 Out For SM-N9005

The new firmware (XXUDMJ6) has some improvements for WLAN and maybe the camera. Universal RDLV only includes two files (system+cache) in the tar.md5, so everything else stays at the old version. Turn off OTA-Updates on your phone and use Universal RDLV to modify the new firmware files before flashing with odin. Flashing NON-HLOS.bin and modem.bin wasn't enough in my case. Even adding hidden.img.ext4 and multiple factory resets didn't solve the problem and camera and WLAN kept broken. The only solution was to include boot.img and recovery.img from the unmodified Samsung tar-file. Create a tar.md5...

I second that. Animations are great in 90% of my apps, but some get broken by them. For example the offical XDA-app plays the animation full screen every time you touch the screen. It's impossible to use the app with that problem.
