Thread Revert back to stock (not GPE version)

First off, let me apologize for asking. I have searched here to find out how, but I've found a few hints on how to do it for the GPE version of the Z Ultra. I was barely able to install CM12 on my Z Ultra out of curiosity. I found that it was nice to run the newest Android platform, but I found...

Thread Constantly runs out of memory on lollipop

Absolutely stock Android. Very svelte set of installed apps, not rooted. I continually run out memory (Chrome throws an error at the bottom of the screen indicating that not enough memory was available to perform the task) and performance slows to a crawl. Am I the only one? If not, what...

Post Looking for a dock that doesn't have fitment issues (NO COVER)

Thanks. I made a track for the camera to slide into the magnetic charger so it will charge with a simple swipe. Then I can also put up an additional tablet or phone in the remainder of the space.

Post Fiio E07k works with the Xperia Z Ultra

Yeah, letting the audio be handled by an offboard DAC is the way to go if you are sitting or walking around the house. For when I go on a jog, I use either the aptX adapter or for wired connections, the EO6.

Post Looking for a dock that doesn't have fitment issues (NO COVER)

I actually made one myself. All I needed was some patience, a piece of wood and a router. I took apart the dock I bought from eBay that could never really hold my phone correctly. Then I custom cut one that could contain my phone, a case, and the cable. It's not quite glued together, but it...

Post Fiio E07k works with the Xperia Z Ultra

Make sure the cable is OTG. I just bought a direct OTG mini to micro cable off that big auction site and it works awesome (without the frankenstein cable combo I originally photographed).

Keep in mind that you likely just scratched the anti-shatter film, and not the actual screen itself. That film it just so soft, it scratches easy. I say try the phone out for another week...

Post Fiio E07k works with the Xperia Z Ultra

This solution works so great. I would use it on an airplane to provide the headphones a little bit more power. The end result: batteries in the phone last longer and the sound is vastly improved. Sent from my C6506 using Tapatalk

I don't believe it works outside of the Walkman app. That's OK, though, because I'd seems to crash the bass and make the highs far too shrill. Sent from my C6806 using Tapatalk

Thread Fiio E07k works with the Xperia Z Ultra

I finally got around to trying it out and seeing if it would work. It does. Micro USB OTG to mini USB cable. It's not pretty, and I know some people on ebay make it, but I have lots of these individual cables around, so I figured I'd Frankenstein then together. Works awesomely. Stock...

Phenomenally--as far as my ears can tell. I have them connected to several cans, from my Audio Technica open AT700 to my bass heavy Sony XB800 (I think that's the model number).

Post [GUIDE] New Z Ultra Owner

Did you get this working? I discovered what the issue was for my ZU. Under the APN settings, on APN type, make sure that it says "default, mms, supl". Also, if you live in a LTE location, you might want to check changing your APN to "fast.t-mobile.com".

    Post SBH 52

I really wanted to like mine, but alas, had to take it back. It kept hanging on the NFC logo when I would power it up. According to Sony, the only way to resolve that was to let the power run out. So that means I could use it again a day later (power drain then charge).

Post Fiio e06 vs e07 vs e11...please share your experiences

Roger that. I've got the E06 and it does well. It certainly puts more power and bass. My favorite is the E07k because it also allows me to tone down the treble (if, for instance, I have my Audio Technicas connected--they're very bright), but bring up the bass (the open ATs need a little push).

Fiio E18. Takes the DAC out of the phone and into a offboard headphone amp. I tested it last week at CES and it works well--with all audio tested (Youtube, Rdio, local via Walkman).

I have both the Xperia Z Ultra and the Lumia 1520. I was thinking the 1520 would have been extremely awesome. It's not bad, but the improvement over the Ultra isn't as large as you would think. I really like my ZL. I also picked up a Z Ultra with AT&T LTE last week and have been using that primarily as of late. However, when I go out to jog or find a 6.4" screen prohibitive, I am reminded of how refreshingly comfortable the ZL is. I don't think I'd move to a Samsung device so long as...

Post High end earphones for Z/ZL

Sorry--when I said "source" I was talking about the files. If you stream YouTube all day and play at the low quality levels, it'll reflect in the sound. However, if you play higher quality streams or uncompressed music files--the ZL can deliver a fairly full and rich sound. Granted, it's no...

I tried it out with a few cans: the Sony MDR-XB600 (for electronic and bassier music) and the Audio Technica ATH-AD900 (for everything else--especially awesome with cellos and violins). Sometimes I go with an amp (Fiio E06 and Fiio E07K) to bring more bass to the ADs. I think they all sound...

Wow. Just wow. I was seriously pondering picking up a refurb or even the Nexus 4. I was at my wit's end. I figured, if my GPS doesn't work, what do I have to lose if I break something? So I did this, shoving a precision screwdriver under the antenna leads so they stand at about 10 degrees. I...

I really want to jump full on with this ROM--it's fast and smooth. The only thing that gets me recovering to my ICS is the darned camera app. Unless I'm completely missing something, it does not appear to have a way to tell it to save my pictures to my external microSD card. Is that true?
